What's Your Thoughts on Steve Harvey?

I've barely watched Family Feud since I left home from High School, but he does make it watchable. Also, my kids have enjoyed the new show on Sunday about kid prodigies. He does a good job hosting that show.

There is a difference between being angry and calling a position ignorant and insulting.

I saw the kings of comedy on the day it came out (mostly for bernie mack) and he's a good comedian and his interactions on family feud are classic... but hearing people still say "why are there monkeys if we came from monkeys" is willfully ignorant

he was the star of a show, where one of the main characers was a white cat named, I shit you not, Bullethead.....

expecting too much from the guy, is what i'm saying. He's the non educated, urban version of Dr Phil

I don't expect anything from him. It just bothers me so many people listen to him.

Didn't think much of him until a hipster friend got jimmy rustled by that book. Been a fan ever since.

hes over the top with his humour but sometimes he's OK. he needs to be taught how to dress though, he wears the baggiesr suits I've ever seen.
 
I'm not familiar with his standup (not really a fan of standup comedy in the first place tbh) but I love him as the host of Family Feud. I'm a big fan of the show and prior to him my favourite host was the guy who played AL Borlin but Steve is without a doubt the best host they've had imo. And it's not just him, the show itself changed formats a bit. The questions and answers got a little racier, and I like how they turned it into sort of a race war, I guess mirroring the racial unrest in the States. Time was you might have 2 white families against each other, or you could have a black family where a white guy married into it and he comes on the show or vice versa. But now it's white vs black every time. Hey it makes for good tv.

This is spot on for me.

He's great for ragging on fools on Family Feud, but he talks out of his ass in all other contexts.
