Absolutely doesn't makes any sense fake claims that U.S does provide some mythical security for europe. They doesn't, they are providing military industrial complex with income and huge profits while never will fight nor vs china nor vs russia.

To engage in trade war with europe isn't smart idea. At first they long ago knew reality about U.S, just never had told openly.

Im no expert but so far it seems moving forward becomes "easier" in summer, more difficult in cold winter. Other posters have explained something about soldier detection through infrared optics, among other factors!

As for levelling Kyiv im not 100% sure it ends the war considering ukr stubborness, ukr armed forces are maybe 0.2% concentrated in Kyiv, 99.8% are spread apart at the front lines. If that option was the winning variant Putin would have already used it! Just yesterday he jumped in cold water to catch the cross, doesn't make sense to deliberately target a million civilan orthodox christians one day after that jump!

Small groups infiltration is easier to do in summer when bushes and trees does have vegetation a lot, grass is long etc.

As for levelling Kyiv im not 100% sure it ends the war considering ukr stubborness, ukr armed forces are maybe 0.2% concentrated in Kyiv, 99.8% are spread apart at the front lines. If that option was the winning variant Putin would have already used it!

Give folks in Kiev a week to evacuate the place and level it to the ground. Followed by Lviv and Dnipro.

I don't want to play devil's advocate but what's the neccesity of levelling Kyiv at all if you are going to evacuate people first! I just don't see how exclusively destruction of buildings 1000 km away from the front collapses the front! (Gaza was completely inside Israel's grip) Plus using conventional weapons would be risk of depletion of arsenal, so they would have to go nuclear in order to save rockets, which i don't think would be acceptable even among majority of russians let alone the world community!

Zelensky was willing to stop the fight at current front line, freeze the conflict, i stop shooting - you stop shooting. Putin said no, give me rest of donetsk, than i stop! Who is responsible for continuation of war then?

Remember Soviets threw 3 million soldiers to win the Dnieper battle in Ukraine and Nazis didn't have the straight out of fiction spiderweb of drones Ukr now has... in soccer terms Rus has missed open penalties both in 2014 and 2022 and those opportunities don't come often!

9 oblasts? Do you really believe they can achieve that? It took them 12 years to take one oblast and three others still partitioned!

Normally, when you attack an enemy on the ground (or in Russia's case, start an invasion), you start with the furthest reaching weapon and close it in till you get to the Infantry. In this case, artillery and missiles. At the early stages of this invasion, I don't think Russia did that. They were not expecting the pushback they got. They definitely should have made better use of their Air Force. The attack from the North into Kiev in 2022 was a failure because of this. It did manage to split the Ukrainian defense into two. One part to the North and one part to the East. Russia should have bombed the shit out of Kiev in 2022.

Well, Russia has 5: Crimea, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk. The additional 4: Odessa, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv.
Russia has been scaling back. First, all of Ukraine, which I don't believe it was true. Second, the 9 oblasts mentioned, and now the 5 original oblasts. The original 5 oblasts Russia is going to keep no matter what. Non-negotiable. The additional 4 will depend on how strong the Ukrainian military (Army in particular) behaves on the battlefield. Way too much credit being given to Ukraine in this conflict. False narratives and propaganda. What is Ukraine going to do? Keep fighting for another 5, 10, 100 years? With what? It depends on outside help, soldiers they don't have, and a drying up military stock. Many inside (and outside) the Zelensky circle have already seen the light and things are not looking good. Zelensky is in denial. Ukraine should have defeated Russia in 4 years of war. It hasn't and it won't. The odds are now in Russia's favor. Ukraine is only getting weaker. The writing was on the wall from day 1. The side with the most soldiers and weapons wins. That would be Russia. It has been a blessing for Ukraine's three major cities (and the civilians) that Putin has decided to not level them. Like I said before, Netanyahu would have leveled Kiev back in 2022.
