Besides sporting a new look, personally I think it's for him to avoid friction in clinches coz he knows DC will try to grab hold of him (neck or head) and he can slip out of it easily. That actually the opposite though at least in my experience. Having no hair actually makes it stickier and gives more grip. Its the hair that makes it more slippery. I dont know the reason he did it but his hairline is receding.
