How wonderful a job is that?! Gorgeous. You're better than I am, anything wooden I've upcycled I give it a good scrub and then put a primer undercoat on so I don't have to get the sandpaper out. I'm considering getting an electric sander for my next project though.
That's a great job you did seeing the vision. Couple of nice summery cushions and it looks like you bought it from a nice Pottery Barn type shop.
An electric sander is a great tool to have for these projects, I couldn’t have smoothed the post out as uniformly and as efficiently as I did sanding by hand, also improves primer bonding.
Pretty inexpensive piece of equipment.
You made me think of going to World Market to look for bench cushions, I was already thinking about ordering some couch pillows off Red Bubble with one of my nature photography pics.
