This no new guns rule my wife got me to agree to is shit lol.

Right now everybody around here is starting to get rid of their old stuff to get new stuff for this next season but I can't get a gun unless I get rid of one.....problem is that all the guns I'd be happy to get rid of are down in New Mexico in my dads safe.

I've only got like 6 guns up here at the moment.

I have my suspicions that Rinella's custom 7mm is a Christensen barrel and bolt on a R700 receiver. You can clearly see the back of the bolt in the intro to his show and it looks like an R700.

I also find it weird he's sponsored by Savage.... isn't he also sponsored by Vortex?

interesting. I've only seen that show a few times and it was awhile ago. I remember he had a rifle that had a spiral fluted barrel and a left hand action.

I listened to his podcast a few times and every time he was talking about using savage rifles but again, I haven't seen that show for a long time.

I haven't really paid attention to his rifle on the most recent season but I know the spiral flute one you're talking about and I am PRETTY sure that's a Christensen barrel.

Also, ugh.... going to buy that Polymer80 lower tomorrow. Bleh.

@spamking, where are you getting your slide from? I know we were talking about Loki Tactical last night but I feel like you have to send a slide to them.

Also Spam, I've been looking at the Loki-tactical website and I am wondering if you have to send the slide in and you can't just buy one from them... this is the only frustrating thing about doing the Polymer80... You have to get a slide solo which seems to be annoyingly hard to find.

I thought the one I was looking at you were able to buy directly from them . . . I'll have to check though. I'm not buying a slide for $200 and then having $300 worth of work done to it. Sheesh.

I know you can purchase pre-cut slides from guys like The Glock Store and shit but I am not a huge fan of all the holes and shit they put into them.

What I want is the front sight, rear sight dovetail, and a Vortex Viper cut.

I may just swallow my pride and try to find a used G19 at a LGS or swallow my pride even more and layaway a Gen4 G19 MOS.

Maybe I'll get lucky and find a used G19 that already has the RMR/Viper cut/optic on it and night sights and shit. OR, I'll get lucky and find one with a stipple/undercut done already.

I'm stuck in that same rut, my P226 was the last approved buy for a good long while. That's why I'm looking at conversion kits for my current guns, it's a nice little loophole for me to get new stuff.

I'm kind of where Bushman is though I didn't throw up or have that sorta reaction. All I really want is some front serrations, a Vortex Viper cut in the back, and maybe some slightly more aggressive rear serrations than what comes standard with Glock. All the holes and shit (for a gun that I would probably drag along with me if SHTF) just leaves stuff open for issues from dust/dirt... at least in my eyes.

If this was a comp gun and for saving weight and shit? Different story.

You know glock is releasing gen4 17 and 19s with front serrations right???
