What's your favorite Martin Scorsese film?

His Leo films are better than Raging Bull. And Rocky was better than Raging Bull which is why it won the Oscar and has been watched by more people over and over and over.
You really want a laugh? Try to imagine Leo as LaMotta trying to recapture the essence of the original with his weakass screen presence and limited range.

I'll just watch him in better movies like The Aviator and The Departed.

Aviator than Shutter Island. Anything with Dicaprio

The Aviator is underrated as hell. I didn't care for it much after the first watch. But it's grown on me over the years. Really good movie and it doesn't get talked about enough in here. I mean Howard Hughes is one of the most interesting celebrities of modern times. There hasn't been anyone like him since, and most celebrities haven't accomplished half as much as he did. The real life Tony Stark. But with major OCD.

I laughed my ass off in Wolf of Wall Street when Margot Robbie told him to quit flexing his muscles that he looks stupid. That seemed like a real life ad lib she threw at him and they just left it in there. He did look stupid doing that.

IMO even Shia Lebouf is a better actor than Leo. The guy is lucky he got gifted choice roles from Scorcese.

Raging Bull followed closely by Goodfellas. I'd gladly watch any of the movies on your list. I find all of his movies have incredible rewatch ability. Nobody can make a drama funnier than Scorsese

Taxi Driver.

Bringing Out the Dead is his worst one imo.

Most of his movies hold up over time, and kind of keep their edge. Not many directors can pull that off, and do it consistently. The guy is good.

Goodfellas

Casino, The Aviator, and The Departed are probably all in my top 25 movies, though.

I only watched that one once. And it was way back when it first came out. I remember not liking it at all.

Yeah. That's the only one i really didn't enjoy. There's stuff like New York, New York which aren't my favorite movies but are made well and are better than that imo. And stuff like After Hours which is a more normal movie and less "Scorsese" than the others which makes it average but not as big of a miss. Then he has his documentaries like American Boy: A Profile of: Steven Prince, which most people haven't seen. I'm not sure if people really consider those movies. They're odd, and i'm not sure what people would really make of those. Cape Fear is his most underrated imo. Alice Doesn't live heare anymore is good too. But has some annoying characters.

How come literally all of your opinions are so fantastically wrong? This is why I'm convinced you're roleplaying a gimmick.

What are you talking about? I am a huge Dicaprio fan. And it just so happens that of Martin scorsese's films I like the ones with Leo the most.

What you don't like Dicaprio?

He should of got an Oscar for that film. But I suppose it was too early in his career.

It's all good I am sure Leo will win another Oscar eventually.

No wonder we dislike one another.

In my opinion Leonardo Dicaprio is one of the greatest actors ever.

I like Dicaprio and like almost all his movies, but I wouldn't say he's one of the greatest actors ever. Imo his best performance was What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I thought they'd actually hired a retarded kid to play that part. That was outstanding, especially for that early in his career.
He was pretty good in Django too. He came off surprisingly badass in Departed, too. Titanic is one of the GOAT movies but that's little to do with Dicaprio and a lot to do with James Cameron.

The more I see his movies, the more I realize what somebody else itt was saying. The guy does have a pretty limited range. He yells in almost everything, and can do "angry." And he can do "fucked up." Those are his 2 go-to emotions in almost everything. And he still looks too young to be playing real men parts. Like Shutter Island. When he's standing next to Mark Ruffalo who looks like a normal man, Leo looks like a kid. I didn't buy him as a federal marshal and Ruffalo's superior. Not even a little. He does have talent though, don't get me wrong.

And you gotta give the guy credit for knowing who to work with and what parts to choose. He makes very good choices where that stuff is concerned.
