In the hand I like S&W 8 shot 357 mag

Yeah, I had to get over the feel of my SCAR 17's lower and buttstock. My main issue was the A2 grip.

A2 grips suck. Ergo Suregrip ftw!

That said, the SCAR still seems made well enough. The FiveseveN just felt cheap all around.

Honestly, a Glock 19. It's easy to shoot and very durable.

No BS, I had a S&W 357 barrel explode off at Shooter's World in Phoenix on me(It was their gun). It was absolutely crazy, I just remember the loud bang/flash. I wasn't injured in anyway though, just makes a neat story.

Same. They're my favorite. I have a lifetime supply of BLACKHAWK! (have to get the exclamation point in there) branded ERGO grips when they went closeout.

I have big hands. I'm 6'7" size 13 ring can palm a basket ball. Too unwieldy for me. Sure 16 rds of .45 is sweet but that thing is a unwieldy beast.

HK p7 is finest hand gun ever made IMHO. Paid $2500 for mine, Nickle 13rder can sell for $5000 today,

Runner's up sig anything particularly 226....then glock anything but same plasticy slippery when wet handle problem as FN ...then maybe my FN.

What model browning is tht? Beautiful shot gun. I have Bennelli SBEs for birds but there is room in the safe.:p
Browning Auto-5. The first successful semi auto shotgun. Beautiful guns.

Same here. I only have the poor man's Five-seven, the PMR-30.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but there's a new poor man's 5 Seven. And it uses the actual ammunition.

My buddy really digs his FivesevenN too. Sold mine. Didn't like the grip and overall it seemed a little plasticy.
I like the Ruger 57 better than the actual 5 Seven.

Also CMMG wants to hook the poors up too, but not by much...

Reviews I've seen have been positive.
In hand, it felt A LOT more intuitive. Safety where a safety should be. A more sculpted grip that was less bulbous. Great sights. Next time I'm at the range I might rent it to give it a go and see how it shoots. Only reason I didn't buy one yet was the ammo shortage and the price of the ammo.

I had 2 of these I bought back in 1988. Sold them for a 1911 and a Dillon reloader.

It was the right choice at the time, but those were/are fine designed 9mms.

Seeing the prices of them now, I wished I'd have kept them.

Prolly the best gun HK ever made.

Dude that’s terrifying. Not the first instance of an S&W revolver blowing up. Heard a few horror stories.

There's a few things that can go wrong, espescially with a rental. You can have top strap erosion/frame cutting from shooting hot rounds through it. There's forcing cone failure, too. These are really common with .357 K-frames due to nature of shooters using high/overpressure ammo. There's also barrel replacement issues. I remember when my boss asked me if i felt comfortable replacing a barrel on a 66-3. I told him I was a glorified parts plumber and left it at that.

1911 is a nice gun. 45 calibre. Handles well. I like the look. Ammo a bit more expensive, so Baretta 9mm is my other fav
