What's with the ufc naming a card off a nickname?

Some nicknames are legendary and represent the person enough to just be their promotional name.

Shogun
Korean Zombie
Kimbo Slice
Pitbull
Pitbull
Pitbull
Pitbull
Wonderboy
Rampage
Crocop

I believe Chan Sung Jung has asked/chosen to be marketed as The Korean Zombie.
Some fighters are known by mainly by their nicknames
Rampage
Mayhem
Cro Cop
ect.

Sometimes it's a first name:

Lol, I understand that one. I still have to look up the proper spelling of her last name every time and I feel like Anik is the only one professional enough to learn how to pronounce it

Well, this thread backfired

<Rodgers1>

Not really I was genuinely curious. I went back the last 20 cards and didn't see any cards with nicknames. So it's not that common of an occurrence.
I know fighters love their nicknames and that Bruce buffer will go all in for some fighters with cool nicknames.
But wasn't aware Korean Zombie loved his nickname so much or built his brand off it. So that's cool.
It's strange, if the ufc is cool with fighters having creative control over headline fight card names that you don't see it more often.
