not huge? lolThese are not huge upsets, the hype is just more effective on the viewers than it used to be. Back in the day, if a 145 lb champion moved up two weight classes to take on a lanky, tough as nails contender, it would've been seen as a very risky fight.
not huge? lol
i bet you're rich now since you know so much.I don't really see how these were huge upsets. Ronda was a garbage striker, I knew Holly would knock her out if she had any takedown defense whatsoever. She leads with her chin, and the punches follow. Holly was a boxer with minimal experience on the ground, so Tate beating her wasn't out of the question. McGregor was going up against a bigger man who is a very solid boxer and had the BJJ background to expose McGregor's untested ground skills.
jones aint losing unless he moves to heavyweightI hope that means Jon Jones is going down soon
jones aint losing unless he moves to heavyweight
its funny how people are saying stuff like they know ahead of time now that the fights over. They arent really upsets to the hardcore fans. This sport is becoming more mainstream so more casuals that buy into the bullshit hype are making the betting lines easy.
Holly trains at Greg Jacksons/Winks and doesnt move forward unlike the rest of the soccer mom division. Ronda trains at a bum gym and filming movies.
Conor gets hit in every single fight and was going up against a guy with one of the highest punch output, with a height/reach advantage with legit boxing and Black belt in BJJ. Also moving up in weight. Conor trains at a suspect gym.
These FACTUAL statements can be clouded by "Once ever athelete!" "GOAT, P4P" "Celebrity xx Tweets out support for Ronda/Conor/XX" . If I told you all this shit in this post a year ago, who would YOU bet against?
submits my picks for ufc 196... gets 6 out of 12 correct... i knew those 6 would win.....its funny how people are saying stuff like they know ahead of time now that the fights over.
