Any dive bar in a residential area in a bad part of town has that vibe. Got jumped once st such an establishment. Good times.

The Lakeview Pub in Williams Lake, BC, Canada. There was no lake, in view, of The Lakeview. It's since burned to the ground, two people dieded.

I played a Hell's Angel's wake there. I found a chunk of a ear in the dudes bathroom, saw a stripper break out in tears, in a diamond studded thong, run off stage mid show screaming "we were just friends!", just about asphyxiated from Angel's laying patches in the bar, with their bikes, on the carpet, had to play "Born to be wild" 5 times in a row, cocaine (I think), it goes on and on.

I had a friend that took me to an unmarked door at 2am after all the other bars closed. This happened in downtown Dallas. He tells me he wants to show me something and we end up in what looks to be an unused office building or something like that. We get to an unmarked door and a slot opens up like its John Wick trying to get inside with a gold coin. Doorman knows my friend, lets us in and they are serving drinks, illegally, until 6am. Its the only time in my life I went into an underground establishment only known to a few. The scary part is that once inside, the door is shut and bolted. If any shit breaks out, the door is locked, and there is no address to the location that you could even give to someone if you called them.

I was in a dive bar where a haggard drunk lady was letting guys fuck her in the ass in the bathroom stall. Every few minutes she would walk in there with another loser. She bragged that she can’t get preggo if it’s in the butt. Same bar guys were dealing coke out in the open.

Having lived in Belfast for the majority of my life I have been in my fair share of dodgy pubs. Both nationalist and loyalist. A friend of mine (not from Belfast) was meeting me in a bar in the center of town. He was wearing an Antrim GAA top and got a pretty severe kicking. You have to be pretty careful here, but its not as bad as it used to be.

In Toronto. Prior to the Hell's Angels coming to town there was a club known as Satan's choice. One of the guys in the club, pretty high up, tattoo artist and metal vocalist named Psycho Dave. He ran a booze can not too far from the club I bounced at. A bunch of times we'd go there after last call, just because it was a place to get a drink. I never had any issues, always got treated like a normal human being by them.

Year later 81 moves into town and the majority of the choice guys patched over. HA opened up a pretty famous club house on Eastern Ave. If you knew someone, you could get in. Again the clubhouse often operated as a boozecan after hours. Never felt like anything other than a patron of the establishment.
