For subs it's the rear naked choke because it's very dominant, you can transition to it from mount, you can get to it with easy against a rocked opponent and it's nearly impossible to escape once locked and it's a a sub that do not demand a lot of skill compared to others.

Gotta be something similar with strikes.

Something reliable, strong and easy to use and implement.

What is a bolo?

Looks like a looping uppercut.. but comes up with kind of a whipping motion instead of thrusting motion

Instead of force generated through your hips/torso into the punch like a proper uppercut, it's more of an arm punch

What's a ditto?

What? Overhand is way more common than a hook. MMA is full of sloppy brawlers that spam overhands from halfway across the cage. You need to be in decent range to land a hook.

Interlocking fish smash

Assuming we're talking KTFO true KOs I went overhand, hook, head kick.

Think of how many times you have heard Goldy and Joe say:"OoOoOoooOoooOohHhhH!! A BIG OVERHAND RIGHT!!!" And other commentators too, of course.

It's also a technique that is very easy for rasslers to put rhe same kind of explosion into as they do for shooting takedowns. And it"s easy to mix it in with takedown attempts. So it's a very powerful and useful strike for them, that often comes natural to them and gives them early success when learning to strike. So many rasslers tend to built their striking game around it.

According to butthurt boxing fans it’s the Japanese soil punch. Once you leave Japan and fight in america. The American punch is not as strong.

Gotta assume it's a hook given you can KO someone with either hand in any stance

We haven't really seen many lead hand cross/overhand KO's, off the top of my head the only ones I remember are Spann/Reyes with a power jab and I believe Frank Mir/Antonio Silva for an overhand?
