What's the chance of Bisping fighting and actually defending his MW belt?

No one said anything about a dive.

Anderson lost because he's an idiot. He had multiple chances to finish Bisping and didn't.

So basically, had he been a better fighter he would have finished Bisping.

Bisping has a well rounded game, he is mentally tough, and he always comes prepared. He is a prime example of hard work making up for lack of A+ level talent. He won't be a walkover for anyone.

So I take it you're gonna place a big bet on Bisping for his next fight, and post the slip?

People gave him no chance against Luke with very good reason, but it's mma and one punch can change everything. Everyone is acting like "I told you so" now, but I didn't fucken see anyone making much noise and predicting Bisping before the fight.
Pretty much this. amazing win for the count but come on. No one is betting big on him next fight as he has a punchers chance again. Not saying he can't do it again but not very likely.

No one is saying Bisping is the favorite I'm any of those fights. Just that he has a chance.

No one bets the farm just because they think someone has a chance. Well, most don't.

The people saying I told you so we're actually pretty vocal beforehand. There weren't many (I was not one of them. Thought Bisping would get steamrolled) but they were out there.
Well you said "when will you people learn", which sounded like when will we learn and start betting on Bisping.

But you probably just meant that everyone has a chance and you cant count anyone completely out, with which I completely agree.

That said, Bisping gets smoked in his next fight... probably.

Had he used his brains.

He had Bisping hurt numerous times and backed off. His killer instinct is gone is what I'd say. Or his Fight IQ went down.

I think he has a better shot against Weidman than anyone else- and even that would be an upset. He can definitely beat anybody in the world, though.
You can't be serious???? Chael crushed him and Weidman is Chael x10. I'd bet on this Fight!!!!

Why do so many people act like Anderson could have finished Bisping after the flying knee? The bell rang right after he landed it. I could be wrong, but I don't even recall two full seconds passing from the knee landing to the bell ringing.

I think Bisping has a better chance than people are giving him against Weidman. He has better cardio and Weidman, while very durable, is kinda slow.

Jacare is a big threat, Romero is a big threat although his cardio may be his undoing, and Rocksalt is very dangerous, but Bisping might have him figured out.

Bisping could beat anyone in the division, it's hard to say. The top guys are really dangerous.

Haha what? So you missed his fights with Maia, Cote, and Leites? It's not like Anderson not pulling the trigger is something new. And if you want to give Anderson that excuse, then you should also give Bisping a pass for having an incredibly dumb moment and leaving the opening for the flying knee. Even in spite of that landing he won the next round. Now imagine he doesn't make a ridiculously terrible error like that again. Additionally, the only moments I remember Anderson having Bisping hurt are the flying knee and front kick that came after the flying knee.

What happened is that Luke fought stupid, and we all know anything can happen. Bispings lucky he didnt get caught first and that Luke was careless, leaving his guard down the whole time. Had Luke fought smart, took bisping down, he would've won easily.

Luke is way more skilled, but for whatever reason, decided not to use all of his tools. He fought carelessly in the area where Bisping had the best chance to win, and paid for it.

Chael "crushed" Bisping? Have people in this thread been smoking rocks? Are there meth sales going on today?

Edit: And Bisping has been improving since the Chael fight anyway, or he very well may not have beaten Rocksalt and Silva.

He was supposed to have no chance against Anderson, THEN he was supposed to have no chance against Rockhold. Will you people ever learn?

Except Silva fought one minute of each round and nearly put Bisping out. Rockhold already owned him when he took the fight seriously and fought like an arrogant jackass yesterday and didn't move his head.

Chael didn't crush him, and I'd still favor Weidman to beat Bisping. But out of Jacare, Romero, Weidman, and even Rockhold, I'd give Bisping the best odds against Chris.

Rockhold was super arrogant and it was more of him acting stupidly with his hands down and chin out than great fighting by Rockhold. Rockhold beats Bisping 9/10 times.

Anderson theoretically had Bisping beat but ran to the cage and celebrated rather than finish Bisping. So you act like it was entirely Bisping being the reason he won.

Arrogance had nothing to do with it. Apart from a few decent body kicks, Rockhold was getting schooled in the exchanges before the knockout.

Also, the bell sounded right after the Anderson Knee, he wouldn't have been able to 'finish' even if he wanted to, the round was over!

Oh...I forgot. Bisping won that Fight :-))

Bisping is a spoiler - never Count the man out.

Not much of a fan of his but he is on a streak and providing good fights and good fun.

War Bisping!

Who the fuck ever said he wasn't supposed to beat Anderson??

Would be nice to see him continuing his streak with wins over Jacare, Weidman, Rockhold, Romero, Silva, Mousasi, Whittaker, Hall.

Let's not rewrite history, Anderson wasn't that big of a favorite and nobody was sure what Anderson we would get. The idea was that if he wasn't too washed up he SHOULD take it. Against Rockhold he was genuinely given no chance and for good reason, but shit, the impossible happened. The thing with Bisping though is he's been around a long time and we know who he is as a fighter. One shocking upset against a guy that was showing disdain for his abilities isn't going to make everyone forget who he's been for the last 10+ years. And that's only logical.

This.

Each time Anderson engaged he basically had Bisping hurt.
