...i said the exact opposite.

My bad, didn't think anyone would regret one of the best consoles ever. But I guess everyone has a different opinion, no problem

That was DOA, and I'm pretty sure there's a healthy amount of people that don't even know what it was. I think it all came down to the name, too. People were so confused at what it actually was, with a lot of people just thinking it was some add-on for the Wii.
That would be me, played healthy amount of time on almost every console known to man yet I never heard of Virtual Boy...

Microsoft and their stupidly similar sounding consoles, could learn a thing or two. Branding matters. Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox One S, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S....what in the fuck? How fucking lazy can you be at naming your consoles? It's just needlessly confusing.
And again me, I didnt own any of Xboxes since 360, my weird friends have owned them, I still can't sort them by release date. And thats why they are gonna fall even more behind PS, after 360 they are doing fuck ups.

And as far of this poll, its not that hard to guess whos gonna be the winner. Although I would agree that Switch is handy, but it needs a lot of succesuful years..

one of the best consoles ever.

aside from the least viable competition ever, why? xbox shat the bed way worse and the switch is basically a handheld - so niche it's not really competition.

imo, consoles moved away from what they did well (uniform systems, pop in a game and immediately play, local multiplayer) and ended up playing against the PC's strengths (needing to add drives, playing online, constant updates) - and the games were lazier than ever (mostly remakes/reboots or cheap indie games that are all basically moot as metrics).

the best games included... ps3 games (gtav, tlou), reboots, and remakes/remasters. and by included, i mean... were mostly. i can give a lot of credit for bloodborne (and remove credit for konami releasing mgsv without finishing it) and there are a handful of other games that were decent... but overall, i think it was easily the worst console generation.

I own an Xbone and a PS4, PS4 just collects dust, Xbone gets played every day
Xbone exclusives are more my style, only thing PS4 has that I really care about is Ratchet And Clank
I hate the PS4 controller, its way too tiny and crowded for my giant hamhock hands, Xbone controller is way better for me
Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate destroy PS Plus
Gotta go with Xbone

What exclusives??

Hardware wise the PS4 was honestly pretty trash. I had both the normal and the Pro model and both a fan that could go absolutely crazy. Actually the Pro was even louder than the base model.

Still easily wins because of all the great games though.

It's either the PS4 or the Switch, and the Switch isn't a console in the traditional sense of the word.

I chose PS4 but there was a brief period of SSS tier awesomeness when I was immersed with Zelda BOTW and Mario Odyssey. That was some amazing quality time.

But PS4 had a lot more quality games. PS4 is my top pick but a close 2nd is Switch.

Both Ori games are now on switch and Cupheads on all past gen consoles now
I was just talking betwwen PS4 and Xbone
If I owned a Switch then their exclusives would definitely win out cause I loves me some Zelda and Mario

As others have implied already Xbone has a really weak lineup of exclusives.

That's why i laughed internally. I played Cuphead on my Switch first. I have Ori on my PC.

Halo, Gears and Crackdown basically? That's a meh but like I said.. To each his own. But it is universally accepted that MS game exclusives are shit compared to Sony/Nintendo exclusives.

yes and that's why my posts included "but whatever." and then "To each his own."

You like what you like and fuck everyone else. That's how everyone should be thinking in terms of preference. You don't have to agree with anyone.

We are just teasing you bro. Relax. lol

Im not worked up, Im just having a conversation
Not everything has to be passive aggressive

Actually, God Of War is one of the best games of all time and I enjoyed Ghosts Of Tsushima so I guess its not just Ratchet And Clank

I dont know how I forgot about those two lol

Killer Instinct has really been the lone XBone exclusive I've really played and it was pretty good, prob the most underrated fighter of its era tbh.

Have Crackdown 3 and ReCore buried in my backlog despite mixed reviews because they still look kinda cool. But yeah, PS4 really seemed to have quite a slate even though I haven't played any of them, looking forward to playing them whenever I get a PS5 or just get a PS4 on the cheap if I go the Series X route
