Missing weight and the fight not happening ie dennis hallman v tavares

Lose more than the fight, lose your job

Outcomes in general.

For fans: NC
For the loser: Technical submission (specially a choke)
For the winner: DQ
For the TV broadcaster: 5 seconds KO

Anderson demonstrated it in his last fight.

Serious injury/way that causes most brain trauma.

Vera / Jones

Rory / Condit (especially considering Rory was winning the fight)

Those are the kind of beatings that can change you. It's worse that they didn't go out

to wrestle fuck and grind to a decision only to be submitted right before the end of the last round.

one-punch KO during the first minute of the first round.

think about all the sacrifices, effort, time and money you put into camp, only to get KTFO in seconds.

Illegal blow that still allows you to continue. Not to take anything away from Bisping, but Rivera looked pretty out of it after Bisping landed an illegal knee(?).

TKO (submission) by a Palhares heel hook or one of Mir's nasty subs.

"Loss via submission (punches)" looks really bad on any fighters record.

How about when you knock your own ass out. :icon_lol:

Some old UFC fight, Matt Lindland KO'd himself.

All the months of blood, sweat, and tears training ...

Then you kick your own ass. :icon_lol:

Can't be too fun.

as a huge bj fan it pains me to say "give up"

though you left out one option - getting "ruedigered" (See joe lauzon fight)

came in to say this

so I'll say it again

the anderson Silva way

so basically not fighting just letting your guard down....that's what happened in Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz and Weidman vs. Silva. ..

Humiliation.

Two examples, in recent memory.

Nogueira getting his arm broken by, then tapping to, Frank Mir - an opponent he hates, and a fellow BJJ practitioner - after never being submitted before.

Vinny Magalhaes being given a 'winnable' fight in Anthony Perosh - a 40yr old BJJ artist with no stand-up to speak of, when Vinny was regarded as perhaps the best BJJ artist in the sport. Vinny goes onto seriously disrespect and disregard Perosh....and gets fucking LEATHERED inside 20seconds, like, sparked out cold by the guy with no striking.
