What's next for "Money" Mendes?

his footwork needs improvement, he's too much of a strength fighter.. Needs to fight intelligently, he has already the power/wrestling.. work on his BJJ and M.thai & boxing footwork. IMO if he works on his cardio and footwork alone, he has a great change of beating anyone in 145lbs.

He's probably going to end up fighting Max Holloway. For now he needs to take some time off.

As far as I'm concerned he got ppv cuts for that so around 2.5m.

Anyways 135 or a back on track fight..if he wants back in with the top of the heap...cub swanson.

Pretty sure he didn't. He talked about the 500k after the fight, if he got a cut he'd probably mention it. He didn't know his worth like Diaz did. And at the time Conor wasn't a known PPV star, twas his first PPV.

He is going to take a break and get married and after honeymoon come back and fight hopefully Cub Swanson or Jeremy Stephens

Leave team alpha male. Diversify his striking and work on his bjj. He's a great wrestler and hits hard but he is predictable for the top 3 guys at fw, and he just lost 3 in a row to those guys. No shame in losing to those three but he needs a win and to change his game up a little to hit the top of the division.
I can only imagine the drama if did leave TAM, and ended up joining Elevation Fight Team with TJ.

When is KZ coming back? KZ vs Mendes sounds right.

There's absolutely no evidence that he earned from the PPV points. Conor reportedly did, but i saw nothing about Chad.

He should drop to 135, i agree.

I think at this point he's trying to take the fights that'll pay off his next hunting trip -- those title dreams seem pretty far away right now

After three loses he'll probably face another top 10 guy so I'd go with Oliveira.

The guy still has loads of potential, all his losses are to current/former UFC champs 17-4. While he just turned 31 and age seems more relevant in the lighter divisions I think he still has a window to make another run at gold. As said above he needs to change camps and coaching, personally I'd like to see him go to one of the larger camps JWJ, AKA, or ATT and take some time before his next fight. Training at TAM he's peaked and plateaued, I don't think TAM has much more to offer him in terms of improving, he really needs to deversify his game.

Kill defenseless animals so he can feel like a big guy again is my guess.
