What's impressive about DC is his ability to compete with guys with much longer reach.

According to Sherdoggers, reach is everything...

Whats even more impressive is that he is a wrestler with no striking experience before he started MMA at 30. Compare his striking to a similar background fighter like Brock, who looks like hes trying to catch butterflies when he throws punches.
This is where intelligence comes into play. DC was never the best athlete in the wrestling scene.

Well he bites down on his piece, clinches up, and throws hooks and uppercuts. His years as a strong wrestler and that grind mentality makes for a dangerous combo for anyone. If you're gonna win in the phone booth, you can't be scared of shots coming in. It's a hard, in your face type of style, but a strong clinch and good positioning can negate the reach advantage and stave off damage. I'm not particularly fond of DC, but he's dog in there, and I respect his tenacity and skill set.

Read the whole post. Understand the context. Are you an idiot? Conor has trouble fighting Nate. Compare it to Aldo. Compare it to Alvarez. Compare it to anyone besides Nate. Why? Because of height and reach. Why did he gas? Because of height and reach.

Read the whole post. Understand the context. Then post.
I did read the whole post and i agree with your points about cormier. My point was you were 100% wrong about McGregor having trouble finding nate, he landed 92% of strikes thrown lol.

Also he gassed because nate was eating his best shots and literally pointing and laughing. did you notice how McGregor changed strategy in the second fight? Nate wasnt any shorter in that fight.

Seriously? Name 1 MMA fighter who wouldn't have gassed against Floyd. Floyd was p4p the best boxer alive for a decade. Conor is a jack of all trades fighting against someone in their specialty. Of course Conor was gonna look bad.
Wut?

TIMING and feints takes energy. It is something that you have to actively do and will wear down on you, unlike a lazy jab. Stipe has 10+ inch advantage. He can still jab away from the outside. and Cormier still has to first dodge, and then IF Stipe leaves an opening, be able to counter. Stipe still is the dictator of the pace because of this reach advantage. No safe zone = no rest zone. Stipe basically controls when he can rest, where as Cormier must be on alert at all time. When Mike Tyson says he has certain advantages, because he was shorter and had less reach, that does not outweigh all the disadvantages he has. He is able to salvage an advantage, but if you ask him if he having a longer reach is more of an advantage, then I think he would say yes.
boxing is timing...of course it take energy boxing takes energy.
Tall guys also need to feint and throw jabs constantly that takes energy.
It also takes more energy to be stepping backwards than forwards.

It's all about who can impose their game, just Mike says in the video he feels his reach is an advantage because it works with his game

Everything has pros and cons it's all about the individual.

Conor 5'9 74" reach
Nate Diaz 6'0 77" reach

In comparison to DC vs his opponents, there is less of a discrepancy. I am not taking anything from Conor, which is why I scoff when sherdoggers say Conor McGregor has bad cardio because he gasses against Nate. He gasses because of having to overcome that height and reach advantage. Nate has no worries of a takedown from Conor so Conor being able to beat him in a straight up boxing fight is probably Conor's greatest achievement. He is still a much better striker than DC, but DC has done something impressive on a consistent basis that even Conor had a hard time doing.
I'm not disagreeing on how impressive DC is at overcoming those attributes discrepancies.

Just disagreeing with the statement

"Conor had a difficult time fighting Nate who is not that much taller or longer than Conor."

DC's takedown threat clearly plays a part in his striking success.

we dont care about a steroid cock sucker on sherdog take that shit to wwe

DC looks like a guy that might fix your air conditioner, or deliver your mail. He also can fuck up most men on this planet. That rubs a lot of people the wrong way, that he doesn't look like a super hero. He is also black, and this is MMA fans we are talking about. He will never get proper credit from majority white MMA fanbase. It's not just salty Jones fans like some liars say. It's most MMA fans, period. The only 'fans' DC had were those using him as a pawn, because they hated Jones. They turned on him when he started fucking up their favs too.
Im not sure what bubble you live in that led you to form this opinion, but that's not what I'm seeing, I'm seeing him get the credit he deserves, only people who aren't are the Jones fans and since Jones is also black I'm not sure how racism could be responsible.
