What is wrong about a program that's in place now and being used now?

They are already doing it and the state started and other cities started doing the same thing.

The only change would be the length of minimum sentance.

Insult yourself all that you want with that attempt at a dig. I enjoy my life and somewhat feel sorry for you if you're nothing like me. I'm busy doing things in REAL LIFE that I enjoy. It's part of the reason for my low post count. Trolling the internet is your thing, I get that, and I'm sure it gives you happiness. That's okay. We all need a reason for being and you've found yours in cyberspace.

We have a bunch of nukky blanky BS in the inner cities. Blame racism for black on black crime. Blame guns. Blame slavery. Rehabilitate repeat ofenders, etc. Even though the pols are black. Look at the attention Philando Castile gets when two days later a sixteen year old black boy on a bicycle got shot in an actual drive-by assassination in North Minneapolis and no one cares.
 
These perps and victims alike know all about "hands up don't shoot" lies, and edited George Zimmerman 911 calls, but are unaware of the fact that blacks lived more successful, happy lives, by many measures, in the fifties when America was far more racist than today. This is what welfare does.
 
Do you have any idea how many guns are in Eau Claire, WI? a lot. and not many murders either.

Exactly... Having strict gun laws in a small area is not going to solve the problem when someone can drive 10 minutes and they'll be somewhere where gun laws are lax. This is clearly a problem that can only be dealt with on a national level.

The us is the only first world country where guns are so easily available, and, big surprise, has by far the highest rates of gun violence. How can people not understand that this is clearly a problem (not to mention that what is happening now is clearly not what the founding fathers were intending when they wrote the second amendment)?
 
They just need to throw these vermin in jail when they are caught with guns. Sadly liberal policy there wants them to rule the streets...

I think the upcoming doj and trump will change things there. They fear zero repercussions there and we need them to start feeling pressure. Time to militarize their police force and impose curfews on teens.

Chicago murders don't get nearly the same level of national attention as "BLM" cases. That is wrong.

Also, Chicago shows the absolute impotence of gun control laws ALONE to end violence. Especially when it is a patchwork of laws that varies from county to county.

But the idea that the problems would be fixed by simply ending gun laws... that's a special kind of stupid.
