Another student who is about to join the competition team, Eric. He will be competing at 125. Eric has been with me off and on for 2 years and just recently had some breakthroughs that allowed me to advance him. This was from the last First Friday event, and it was a "stress test." The kid hes sparring, Tilly, is a 119lb'er who is younger but has much more fight experience. Eric just had to hold himself together to show me he can handle the pressure of an amateur fight, he did well enough. Eric is in the Mexican flag headgear with the neon shoes. Tilly and his Father are from the U.K.:

Eric is 16, Tilly is 14

How long training Tilly has? For 14 y.o he's pretty sharp.

I don't know but his Dad was a Pro in the U.K.

Eric's guard seems somewhat awkward to me and made me think he would be too much of a rookie in the beginning of the video.
I was wrong. Really enjoyed his sparring.
I liked how after slipping punches he accelerates and hits while changing position and angle.

Seems like he's much proner to fight going forward than most of your guys. Look good, I'll be looking forward for his debut! Any dates yet?

His natural fighting posture reminds me A LOT of Olympic Bronze Medalist and 154lb Champion, Daniel Santos:

Tournament prep sparring. I think all 6 of these fighters are heading to the Gene Lewis tournament in Mesa this weekend. This is Raul sparring ranked Amateur Jacob Cuevas, then little Brother Cristian, and then my LHW Ramon with another LHW:

Sorry the sound sucks.

One tough fight decision loss and one robbery so far. I'm not unhappy with the one loss, but was a Hell of a bout. The robbery was utter nonsense and Oscar was defending Champion.

My big boys are fighting today. And Eric

Raul's fight:

Oscar's fight:

Eric, the video suffered a bit because my student recording it waa going apeshit:

I could have sworn I made a separate thread for this, but I guess not because I cant find it. Anyhow, enjoy:

Best episode of the series in my opinion. Just a few observations:
- Sounds like somebody's getting gagged and abducted at 25:49. You might want to look into it.
- When you announced the subject of the video, I thought it would be about guys who kill it in the gym but never take fights.
- Who cares about superior production? I want to hear you speak, not watch special effects.
