My heavyweight, from tonight:

Great fight. He boxed beautifully at times and finished really well, nearly got the stoppage at the end as well. He seemed a lot more skilful than his opponent on the inside. Looking forward to future matches.

Pretty sweet performance.
Like many of Sinister's students, his technique is so well drilled that he fights like a guy with a lot more
experience would.

The other coach accused us of lying about him only having 6 fights

Maybe he teach only with hard sparrings, mitts and heavy bagwork. Then he wonders, why your boxer is more mobile than his boxer.

Most-likely, I heard afterwards that they are from a gym that has a lot of famous clients, but the general teaching sucks. In retrospect I'm pleased with his performance although there were a few things he didn't do well that he was doing very well in sparring. But he still gets nerves in fights, well...he always will. It's just a matter of handling it better.

When I reflect on how he looks versus other fighters he comes across who aren't well-educated, it just kind of gets me wondering how ones who had already quit would look with the adjustments I've made to my system. But then I remember their personalities are shitty and instead I become excited for how large a group I currently have and how they'll look.

Ramon sparring a heavyweight he doesnt know for the first time. I was pleased with how he did, only got clocked a couple of times, and kept his head. Took control back easily:

My team has 3 fights tomorrow, and then 3 on Sunday as well. I think one might fall through. So more likely its 5 fights tops. Marc is fighting both days, Cristian is supposed to be as well but I think the Sunday one is likely to fall out due to weight. No trainers want their kids to give away any weight to him. His Brother Raul is fighting, and my other guy Oscar is fighting

So how is Veneno doing? Last I heard you said he was back and looking to get serious

Also, best of luck to your crew

Hes in that video doing burpees at the Mt. Charleston lodge where he works, which is 11k feet above sea level. We're bringing his weight down and shaking off rust.

Here's a bit of Trinity, the girl I help train who competes in Karate, working with Paige. The first is a coordination drill I like the fighters to do on fight day s it rapidly speeds up hand-eye coordination. The second one is another one that sets rhythm/timing:

0-3 today. Oscar had a bit of rust and anxiety today. He said that particular venue always makes him tense. He built momentum in the 3rd round but he got out-hustled. Cristian was again matched with a heavier more experienced opponent. He was very discouraged when the kid put a ton of pressure on him in the first, but I wasnt that worried because when he threw back, he landed. So the second and third rounds he fought harder but was just in the ropes too much.

MarcAnthony was ahead in the first round and close to the end the dude threw a desparate overhand right as Marc put forward pressure. Marc ran right into it. He folded and went down hard, but he popped back up by the count of 5. It was seriously some Tyson Fury shit. He was responsive to the ref and didnt have jelly legs but it was an amateur club show so they called it. I'm not unhappy with that, no need to push it. We have a tournament in a month and we can hang back and prepare for it. I was honestly very impressed by his recovery. A middleweight was stopped by Fernando Vargas Jr. and that kid didnt get up for a good minute. Marc showed no signs of damage immediately after getting up and he admitted he was out out for a second. Had no memory of falling, just said "yeah I stepped in and blinked and I was on the floor."

It’s all a learning experience. Like you have said on here multiple times it’s a great tool having somebody who knows how to take a loss and keep going vs somebody who is always perfect and then crumbles when shit gets rough.
I would still be interested in seeing the bouts if you get them uploaded. And my other problem works out.

I’m trying to get it together here but it has been one of those months you know where shit doesn’t go right. My vpn has been down so I haven’t been able to check up on Facebook, or YouTube.

what about Paige, has she ever competed? She's been with you for what now, couple years?

How about Loco? Is he still competing? He had some impressive videos in this thread not long ago. I also remember talking to him when I was in Vegas and he said he wanted to go pro someday.

Roughly 4 years? Well, Paige has always just been a victim of unfortunate circumstances. She had a severe shoulder tear right when she was at her sharpest. Sparring with a National Level female Amateur, shoulder dislocated in the 1st round, and had 5 more dislocations before she got surgery. Then she took some time off not long after he Mother passed away, and she and I also had an unresovled issue. Basically she was one of the people who felt weird when I changed up how I train. I mean, most of them did. But some of them never doubted me. She did, but expressed it to me when she came back. We've hammered it out now and she's back on track. I'm not sure what she wants to do, she's 27 now. But I've seen women take Amateur fights at any age. There's another girl in our gym taking Amateur fights who is 32, I think. And I had Laura (the Italian girl earlier in this thread) and she was 34. Right now we're just working her back into my system.

I'll just update his thread. He recently had a knee injury, but yes I plan to turn him Pro before the year is up.
