I was put in charge of buying the canned cranberry sauce. I have set the bar pretty low.

I have a big Turkey. I was wondering what it would taste like if I used this central Asian BBQ seasoning all over it. I went to this Russian store and got it for kebabs.

I also gotta figure out if I should dry brine or just wet brine it. I saw some southerner on YouTube put sweet tea in his brine. I might try it.

Im already dieting to be in the best shape possible for a month in Asia in January.

I often used Turkey for meal prep.
But im fasting from 5pm to 11am the next day everyday of the week.

Not sure yet. Mom and Dad invited me over(I live 10 minutes away) but Mom is in a wheelchair till her knee surgery in December so she's not ambulatory. Dad is useless in the kitchen and I don't want Mom to exert herself so I'm not sure what our plan is.

I know an ex-Brit who has bought too much turkey for two people who loves to cook if you're in Cali .....

I ended up with a 16lb turkey which is overkill for 2 of us but I'll repurpose it and freeze most of it.

I'm doing a Cajun/Creole Thanksgiving for my first as a citizen. Rubbing and smoking the turkey after brining and all the injecting etc from silly o'clock in the morning. And I've never made it before but Cornbread Dressing (stuffing) and Cajun rice dressing with some roast potatoes (as originally Brits we still like beef dripping roasties and maybe some parmesan asparagus.

And I'll do the cranberry, port and orange sauce tomozzles.
Did Thanksgiving over the weekend because of work this week.

We did turkey legs, brussel sprouts and bacon, pumpkin casserole, and persimmon relish. Was great.

My best friend is Cambodian,
Going there for a wedding,
I don't how long I'm gonna stay there with them once the wedding is done.
Really thinking about backpacking Japan for a week,
Also have a friend who opened a club/resort in Phuket, Thailand

So I'm starting to feel like 1 month might not be enough lol.

I might put Japan on hold for a year.

It's not. Too much to see in an individual place. But I'm stoked for the trip. Been to Japan twice and loved it. Never been to Cambodia or Thailand. Post some pics when you get back. Jealous if you get to see Angkur Wat.

I will post thread here when I come back for sure,
might post some during the time I'm there If I have time.

As for ANgkor Wat, Idk.
Since I will live with locals,
Not sure we will do the usual tourist stuff tbh.

Awesome. But it's only a side trip bruh. You may never pass that way again. Think on it. Also can't wait to hear about the food. Cheers bud.

I will hook up with one of my asian friend girl cousin,
rent a motorcycle and ask her to show me around.

What's with the ex?! I didn't have to give them my passport.

Pumpkin logs are a tradition around here. If you haven't tried them you're missing out
