What would make people dislike Holly Holm?

Holly is such a class act. Intelligent, sincere and thoughtful in her responses to questions.
Her father is a 'preacher' but she doesn't bang on about Jesus or gays.
She decimated Ronda.... she's just so likable right now.

What do you think will be the thing that starts turning people off her.

I like Holly, I'm glad she won to make 135 more interesting. She is a class act, and I thought it was cool that she is going to fight Miesha because its the right thing to do.

I'm rooting for Miesha though, because I have liked her since Strikeforce.

I'll sleep fine no matter who wins.
 
I'm sure someone can come up with some reasons. People usually do. But I think Holly is great, as others have said a class act.
 
Sherdog will find a way to hate her eventually, most MMA fans won't but sherdoggers are a different kind of special.

Since she comes out to Irish music and obviously looks it I wonder if people would hate her if she came out with an Irish flag and had it on her fight kit
 
just curious... if you truly feel she's a wonderful person then what difference does it make to you? this seems like a shitty trolling attempt to get people to slam on holly.
 
If she turns her back on her fans and joins the Four Horsewomen, maybe she might be hated. Otherwise, she'll be loved forever, win or lose. She's too sweet.
 
If she lost to Ronda in the rematch all the guys here would lose their fucking shit and tear her apart

1) People can't stand eating their words, so I would imagine many posters who were adamant that Holly had no chance and that it would be another quick finish for Ronda.

2) Also, Ronda crushing Holly would have fed into the "UFC feeding their golden goose" narrative we hear about some fighters (Sage,Conor before he beat Mendes, etc.) So if some poster is already hating the UFC for their clear favoritism, Ronda winning would have fed into those people's cognitive bias.

3)Lastly... I did well on draftkings that night. As you may know, success in fantasy MMA is based in choosing fighters whom you believe will not only WIN but also get a finish (sub,KO,TKO)

I actually didn't pick Holly that night for my team, but the fact that I did NOT pick Ronda (as many people did) meant that my draft team wasn't ruined like many other people's when she got knocked out. Ronda was the "lock" in a lot of people's minds to get a finish that night, so I am sure many were upset that they potentially lost real money on her.

Because Holm is fake, she cheap shots and has fake respect and fake humility. We see through her fake sweet act and she's not a preacher's daughter. #AndSTILL #INeedYourBabies
 
If we found out she was fake like Bones, but since she has always been this way we love her.
 
I can't see myself disliking Holly because she embodies what I prefer in a professional, humility and work ethic. But I'm also a realist and know that my preferences may not be best for the sport as whole, so I'm fine with other personalities helping to expand the sport to it's potential.
 
The usual things, like turning into a boring perimeter fighter that just tries to outpoint instead of striking aggressively, or a positive test for PEDs.
 
She's 3-0 in the UFC, her other 2 wins are both decisions. She could be classified as boring if she has too many decisions. I think a lot of the fans she won over by beating Rousey will expect Ronda vs Holm type performances from her, and they'll probably be disappointed

Or her personality. Yes, she's polite respectful and classy, but a lot of people find polite fighters to be boring, after hearing the same answer from them 100 times.

These aren't reasons I would dislike her, but other fighters have been disliked for those reasons.
 
Domination, at some point fans get tired of a fighter dominating their division. Its called "Mighty Mouse" syndrome.
