I would say "this white mothafucka must have cleaned up his striking decence AhhhLOOOOOOT".

Because that's what he would have to do to ever sniff the belt.

I mean, he's 19-2 with 18 finishes, 5-0 in the UFC, former KSW champ, had wins like Roberto Soldic and Haratyk before even getting signed to the UFC. He's an all action fighter, he looks gassed but tends to outperform his opponents in the later rounds, his striking technique at times makes him look drunk but it's also looked clean and powerful at times too, his wrestling and top game are solid. I've enjoyed his fights for the most part. The fact that he wins looking awful is bizarre for sure but it's been consistent.

He fights like Chuck Liddell in 2005 - throws fucking bombs and walks through them.

The problem with fight like Chuck Liddell c. 2005 is that you wind up like Chuck Liddell c. 2007-10.

I think DDP is big and strong so he can takedown izzy and try to win. Obviously five rounds for him are too much. I prefer to rely on izzy's gas tank.

I really like DDP, he's a bad ass and his fights are awesome

I think his mic skills are cringe-inducing, and that he looks sloppy AF in the cage, BUT I'll be damned if he isn't exciting to watch and getting win, after win, after win. I wish him the best, what's there not to enjoy about the situation? And he's sloppy, but he's clearly got skills as well. Until he loses I'm not going to criticize his successful run.

"Awesome" and "exciting" are strong words that I personally am not ready to use for Dricus. But his fights are interesting and fun.

Wouldn’t really shake up the division because Izzy would somehow get another immediate rematch after being stopped.

You're greatly underestimating the guy in my opinion. It might not be pretty, but he's very effective.

It's bad. He eats a lot of shots but he's a young athletic guy - it seems he's trading his health and chin to win these fights - he gets in these crazy trades where he's half exhausted and so is the other guy and they are just swinging and he takes the punches better.

He doesn't eat that many shots. He has the highest strike differential in the entire division.
