There seems to be this thought that if you aren't interested in the smaller weight classes you aren't a true mma fan. At what point is a fighter too small to be entertaining?

Personally anything below 145 just isn't very entertaining.

Well this is an unnecessary bashing thread. But I don't completely disagree. I haven't found anything below 135 to be even vaguely interesting. But that may just be today due to lack of competition.

However, women's is probably at about a hundred pounds. Below that, they have to run around in the shower to get wet.

The only 135ers that are entertaining are those that could KO a 145er.

The rest can go

65 lbs. The smaller kids tell their parents I beat them up, which is not fun and kind of a dick move

Anytime people look at the weight class and say "I bet cyborg would knock 90 percent of this weight class silly"

Flyweight is a joke, it's like watching a bunch of midgets fight, looks hilarious when they are standing next to the referee

people talked shit when 155 was added now its the best division. then when 145 and 135 were added people complained endlessly. now 145 has the biggest star and 135 is a great division too with dom as champ. then 125. people still complain about this but it has one of the best P4P fighters in the world. people will grow to love 125 after the division gets deeper.

i dont know if they can go to 115 for males though that prob is too small.

Entertainment is entirely subjective. That said I don't see what makes it bashing, if you don't find a particular weight class/fighter entertaining.

**on another thread a poster refered to Flyweight fights as tedious and more often than not that seems to be the case, shucks even the crowd most of the time comes off as bored/disinterested during a Flyweight fight

Interest dies off quick after 145. I only care to watch 1 fighter from flyweight and bantamweight. The rest of the divisions I like watching at least 5 or more fighters from each division.

I feel like the next truly elite 125er to come up could give the division some excitement.

I'm really not sure if it's the weight itself or the fighters but yeah, 125 doesn't do it for me and everything above is good.

I generally find the heavier weight classes more entertaining, but a good flyweight fight is better than a bad heavy weight fight.

Agreed.

I find it silly any poster here will generalize a weight class like this... You guys do watch martial arts right? Styles make fights.

There's no Dadbod division in Mr. Olympia, there's no butterface division in Miss Universe, there's no Dimwit division in the Nobel Prize in Physics, so there doesn't need to be a Kidbod division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Sorry to put it in such a trollish fashion.
