Cain was one of those fighters I respected and loved watching, but always cheered against for some reason. I don’t really know why I didn’t like him. Seems like a nice enough dude, I dunno lol.

Honestly it was before that punch. Brock took a massive breath. He was done gas tank wise. You can see it in his body language and face.

Took Cain down but had no idea what to do with the butterfly guard Cain used.

True but he also had a major surgery and was reported to not be able to train for long periods due to low energy levels.

Maybe Brocks strategy was to end it as fast as possible because he knew he only had 1 round at best to win.

My first thought was, “wow Cain is on point right now and Brock is not equipped to handle this.”

The twirl was weird of course but he was rocked pretty good and trying to elude the savage follow-up shots that he knew were coming. He’d had a handful of fights and hadn’t been hurt before, he didn’t have instincts or experience to fall back on.
