Watched The Running Man "remake" yesterday

Quite disappointing

Starts off well but the bit where Michael Cera is doing his home alone skit is particularly embarrassing

Once he meets the girl in the car its pretty terrible by this point too

I liked the Michael Cera stuff and was enjoying it overall but yea, once he kidnapped the girl it just completely fell apart and kept getting stupider and stupider as they went along to that ridiculous retarded finish

I liked a lot of the movies listed in the poll but reading through it I was thinking "Dang, there had to be some better movies released this year than these", not one single blow you away classic for the ages on that whole rundown

Wicked was my favorite movie of 2024, had high hopes for Wicked : For Good but that was a bit of a disappointment also, bummer

None of the movies made in 2025 that I actually saw this year are in the poll:

Dogman
The Bad Guys 2
How to Train Your Dragon (live action remake)
LILO & Stitch (live action remake)
Gabby’s Dollhouse
Tron: Ares
Jurassic World Rebirth

Yes, I’m a father, so most of what I saw were movies that I took my kids to see. I’d say out of those films that Dogman was the best.
How to train your dragon is the only one on your list i watched. I have not watched any of the movies on TS list. How to train your dragon was pretty good, my wife and i liked it. Our 17yr old son didn't want to watch it even though it was live action and not a cartoon.

Technically, it was released in 2024, but was never widely available until this year. But Life of Chuck is fantastic. I cant think of a better movie I saw this year. Mind-blowing that its the same guy that did the Haunting of Hill House, Fall of the House of Usher and Midnight Mass.

How to Train Your Dragon was good, but I didn’t put it as my #1 primarily because it was verbatim a shot for shot recreation or the original animated movie from 2010 or whatever year it came out. My kids love the series so I’ve seen every movie multiple times and I was a bit beside myself that they even made this movie when it’s 99% shot for shot.

That's why we liked it. We thought for sure it was going to be "woke" and it wasn't which is a good thing.

"The only possible way someone can arrive at a different opinion to me on the thing I watched/played/listen to is if they didnt even consume it" - standard lame patter from him and a few others who share his extreme political bent
remember when you said Rogue One was a retread of A New Hope? that was funny.

You are funny i admit. Especially changing what people said to alter the meaning because yout arguments are weak as shit.

Remember when you thought a movie had broken even after 2 weeks because the box office was the same as the reported production cost. That was funny. ;)

In the Go Woke, Go Broke thread I had to teach you and your fellow far leftists the meaning of the word "Go", so admittedly this one is far less embarrassing for you, but still:

And i think i said something like a virtual retread or similar. Not an exact copy.

I dont know how you haven't learned your leeson after about a dozen such interactions that always end like this:
