What Was With Holm's Short Strikes?

Holm does that a LOT when someone sits back and makes her come to them. Against Reneau it seemed like Holm was half a foot short on most of her strikes but Reneau couldn't really do anything.

She was stepping forward with her front leg before EVERY strike. She was telegraphing everything she did. Everytime she stepped forward, Valentina would take a step back and let her swing at air. It was pretty obvious.

She even steps forward with her front leg to throw a rear leg kick. I've never seen anything quite like it. lol

Like I mentioned in another thread, she's a counter puncher. He doesn't do well taking the lead and she seemed concerned with being countered.
