For those who hate pineapple on pizza, how do you feel about honey?

hawaiian is the 3rd or 4th most popular style for a reason. People didn't complain about it at all until it became I thing on social media. Through the 80s and 90s I don't remember meeting a single person who said it was gross.

I enjoy a good pineapple and ham pizza every once ion awhile and i am curious to try this hot honey pizza trend that I've seen recently but i dont think its made it to any of the pizza joints in my town yet

I guess there's some sort of honey on pizza trend I missed the memo on. I don't know, is the honey on the pizza unpasteurized? I only eat unadulterated bee spit like God intended.

It's one of those things that tastes good but gets overkilled by unimaginative corporations

While i will absolutely smash a Hawaiian pizza, I get the hate. It overpowers everything else and the sugar changes the entire dynamic of the pizza. It's like if you invite someone over for spaghetti and make spaghetti noodles but add alfredo sauce. While technically spaghetti, everyone knows "spaghetti" comes with marinara sauce or at least a tomato based sauce. Anyway, I had a pepperoni with honey on it the other day and thought it was damn good. Not so sweet it completely changed it into something else but just enough to mix it up a bit. Is this ok, or is putting anything sweet on a pizza an unforgivable sin?

Alfredo goes with any pasta though ,if you add it to Mac and cheese it also enhances that . Pineapple and ham can enhance pizza if it’s done right you want a semi spicy sauce to even out the sweetness. My guess is honey isn’t as good just bc the texture, with pineapple you get the juice getting absorbed into the top of the pizza , people think it’s strange but forget sauce can be very sugary itself.

I recently had a peanut butter burger and it was far less sweet then adding actual ketchup that is loaded with junk and corn syrup so the norm doesn’t have to be the norm all the time .

I’ve never tried this, but I would.
I do love pineapple and pepperoni. It’s ham and salami that I don’t love on pizza. They’re too overpowering. But pepperoni and pineapple is fantastic.
Also, jalapeños on everything. The only think I wouldn’t put jalapeños on is ice cream.
