What was Steve Jennum's ceiling?

Given that his martial art was "ninjutsu"

You guys are knocking Jeremy Horn here!

The legend started out under Robert Bussey with Ninjutsu!

He was the first UFC fighter I remember watching and being wowed by. (I had never seen bare knuckle fighting before). Was he a cop or something like that? I’ll have to rewatch on google to refresh my memory.

I was watching ufc at the time and lived close to where Jennum lived. It was a great sense of pride the baddest man on the planet was living in your city. Lol

Yeah a cop in Omaha nebraska.

I was happy to see him pop up in Vale Tudo, but he got brutalized by Marco Ruas in just a few minutes.

Respect to Jennum. All jokes aside, he did it in a time with little to no rules, very little money, and very little exposure. And unlike Pat Smith, Harold Howard, and a certain individual whose name deserves to be erased from history (red trunks, got punched in the balls, hung out with Kimo, was a bit actor in "Austin Powers"), he wasn't a violent criminal who gave the young sport a bad name.

What was the story with Howard again? Wasn't he chasing his wife with a hammer, then crashed in a casino?

Yeah. And then online dipshits blew him up as a hero and his daughter had to beg them to stop lionizing her crazy father. IIRC.

Yup, from Wiki:
"On December 22, 2009, Howard was charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a weapon, attempted breaking and entering, failure to remain, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, mischief and two counts breach of recognizance after being captured by police. The events leading to said arrest include attacking his sister and nephew with a hammer, attempting to force his way into his estranged wife's home, and finally crashing his car into the Fallsview Casino.[3] In the end, Harold was sentenced to just shy of five years in prison"
