After spending your whole life stuck at home or not beeing free to do what you want all the time, what was it like when you just got a car and could finally just go anywhere you want. How did you spend your first couple of weeks?...going to beach, picking up girls, cruising round town etc

Driving to work., then having my friends pick me up after I get shit faced, just like I do now.

mainly just school and friends houses, also i wish i would've spent more time paying attention to street names, highway numbers ,exits, etc. lol I had to use to gps so much

I drove like a total asshole tbh. Got a few tickets. In fact the first five years I was driving I got about 22-23 tickets. Not all movers though.

It sucked because I was raised by militant grandparents and they wouldn't let me get my license and buy a car until I turned 18. Kind of fucked up my high school experience.

I don't even think it's legal to drive with friends for the first 6 months to a year these days.

I'm actually doing it right now, I got my licenses last june but until December I started to drive and I feel like I'm flying, I feel like I can go whatever the place I want to go without any problem, it feels so good.

I'm the kind of person that likes to travel a lot and visit other places and with a car I'm so excited to go to those places that I wasn't able to go before

Well I had to drive my siblings to school every day. That sucked. I'd go park at school, they'd get out and walk to class, and I'd hang out in my car and blaze it up before I went in. Good ole days.

I actually got in an accident the very first day I got my G2 license (in Ontario, that is the one where you can drive by yourself).

I was at a red light when somebody slammed into the back of me and pushed me into the intersection. I got out of the car ready to tear someone's head off, but it ended up being a terrified girl who was begging me not to call the insurance company.

I was scared to drive for months after that, so my time immediately following getting my license was still spent asking my siblings/friends for rides. It was only when I got my own car that I started feeling more comfortable on the road.

I got my license when I was 14. I had to wait 3 months after I took my permit test to take the driving part.

My bros took me to drive at 14 , so when i was 16 i got my license real quick

Was pretty cool, tho getting the car with three older bros was damn near impossible

It was great. People on the road were driving their vehicles not talking on the phone or texting but it was the 1960s. Drive in movies, good times.

I drove to school

drove to my baseball games

having car got me 3x the dates because very few of us had cars in my High so girls way out of my strike zone had me take them out.

it was a fun time. I hate driving now though.work commute sucks.

4 days after I got my first car, I hit a minivan that was being used to transport a brain-damaged orphaned baby back to the Foster parent's home from the hospital for the first time.

Didn't drive again for a couple days after I got my car back from the garage.

Folks commented that I drove like I was playing Mario kart.
