What vitamin or supplements actually worked for you?

You gotta be careful of this shit if you have the herp. Lots of dudes have it and it doesnt flare up. Studies show this shit causes it to.

I take a bunch of turmeric everyday. Helps with flexibility and inflammation. Or it's just a placebo effect. Either way. Worth every penny.

If you have the virus it causes you to break out real bad.

Dont take any of that pre workout stuff, It fucked me up. I had a Filipino friend who used to workout with me at Golds gym in Commerce back in 2008 and he took some preworkouts with arginine and caffeine and his heart was pounding hard we had to call the hospital, dont fuck with that shit. We had the supp lab tested and he posted on bodybuilding.com about it and it had some amphetamines or something in it and then the brand owner threatened to sue my friend and BB.com had to delete the thread. Im even scared to mention the companies name but one of their supps caused me to be knocked out with kidney pains, I stopped taking it. They already dont monitor those things they are not fda approved and a lot of supps were recalled cause they dangerous stimulant stuff in it.

Also excessive Arginine causes some people to get rashes and some say it activates Shingles.

Just get most of your nutrition from foods, but if you do take them just take basic supplements like Fish oil, Vit D, whey etc that are proven and safe in moderate to low doses, Avoid shit that will make your heart race like those stimulant type of Pre workouts they are very dangerous man.

I suggest Beet juice on workout days, just buy some fresh beats, get a juicer peel and clean the beats, juice Half a beet one apple and a carrot and drink that before your workout shit is fire man, give some a tone of energy plus you get all those good nutrients and energy straight to your blood before a cardio workout.

If you dont like making beet juice use this it works too its cheap to like 18 bucks you can find coupons online and get it for cheaper at different supp stores that carry it

I used to swear by Amino Acids back in the day. Seemed to help me get leaner and cutter, but who knows? Hard to say if it was the supplements or me just working out harder because I didn't want to waste them. I suspect none of the legal ones do much at all. I don't take anything anymore.
Most of the supplements were Amino Spiking their whey to save money because Whey was getting expensive, amino acids are iffy. some people use them some don't, I just avoid them becauase I feel you get aminos in most whey powders and foods anyway, but I used to take a leucine supplement with aminos and it helped My doms and muscle hardness, I would recover quicker it seemed, I only took That and whey, nothing else.

But I wouldn't bother all these stuff just tax your liver and kidneys. Its best just to keep your supplements basic minimums. I suggest just using a good quality Whey protein powder or if you dont like Whey try some Egg Protein powder.

My friend told me this is the best Egg Protein powder he tried, but Gaspari is kinda shady they hae a history of putting PEDs or illegal drugs into their supps in low doses.

Plus its too expensive for me

If you can stomach the horrible taste NOW has an unflavored egg protien powder for 18 bucks, I feel it works better than whey for me but It will make you gag so I just add it to a smoothie and mask the chalky taste.

Could be placebo because Turmeric is hard to absorb unless you have pepper with it or pepperine so many Indian dishes add black pepper which helps you absorb it.

I think Curcumin is the form people use in supplement form but the science is iffy, some swear by it and same think its bunk and placebo.

They had a study that showed Curcumin shrink tumors in someone but the problem is you need money to continue, scientists are poor they just work for the biggest payday they can get, so unless someone is willing to spend money to fund these supplement trials we will never know for sure what dose works,what type works to help shrink tumors.

Years ago, I felt like Nature Made solid garlic tablets and fish oil kept the BP low.

In college, I felt like Vit B stress formula kept the mind sharp and calm.

Im a guinea pig, Ive taken supplements for many years in my teens to mid 20s and the majority of them are garbage mainly because they cheat you and use poor ingredients and just add filler so they safe money and make extreme profit by pricing them 30 to 40 dollars a bottle.

Most didn't do jack and some messed me up bad, if you are deficient in vitamins and minerals its usually Magnesium thats like one of the minerals most americans are deficient in because they dont like eating veggies.

The supp that worked for me

Coq10 or Conezyme Q10, dont take this at night it will keep you up, when I take it in the morning it give sme energy and clarity and I dont get tired

Beet Juice fresh made, but if you can get a good quality powder mix that stuff will give you a boost in stamina also has other health benefits.

NAC helps protect and heal the liver and lungs, when I get Bronchitis I take this and the mucus thins in my chest it takes a few days but if I dont take it ill have a bad cough for weeks if I take NAC it clears up in a few days to a week

Quercitin in the Isoquercitin form which is more absorbable, they used it on SARS patients and it helped them survive because it helped the lungs and has heart benefits It is also shown in some new studies to add lean hard muscle mass to athletes.

They gave EMIQ form of Quercitin with 20 grams of whey to several athletes and they put on
more lean muscle in a few months time or something compared to the placebo that only drank whey.

Whey protein, I prefer isolate but it helps me put on muscle, without getting bloated from over stuffing. I basically would drink it twice a day on workout days and once on non workout days.

Also if you work out I suggest buying Electrolyte powders this one is the best for the price its cheap and has good electrolytes with no sodium or sugar, other electrolyte drinks are load with sugar and high sodium which is not good for your kidneys or heart plus we get enough sodium from our diets and sugars as well from fruits, I just wish they had more flavors they only got lemon so far.

What brand of NAC do you take? I suggest taking NAC some vitamin C like an orange or kiwi.

NAC really works, they give that to patients with acute liver damage form Tylenol overdose and it helps clear up the lungs, people who drink take NAC as well for some reason they say it helps fight hangovers.
