What Two Champions Would Really Make The Most Exciting "Superfight"?

Anderson vs. Jones or Jones vs. Cain probably. GSP moving up to MW could be entertaining as well.

Below that there's not much which I would consider a 'superfight' because these guys are so close in weight already.
 
Barao Jones.
Assuming they were legit the same weight.

Best super fight is Barao Aldo, they actually are the same size almost.
 
Jones v Cain. Two GOAT in the two biggest divisions. Both have diverse skill sets and besides Gus, JDS and maybe Davis Cain is the only fighter in the UFC who has an actual chance of beating Jones.

I am pretty sure a superfight is a fight between two champs of neighbouring divisions, ergo they should be similar sized.

Its not a freakshow fight.

I personally rate Barao over Aldo, close but still over.

So maybe a fight with Aldo would be closer but I see Barao steam rolling Cruz in Feb.
(great fight a few years ago though)

The term superfight is interpreted in a lot of different ways. Some people called Edgar v. Aldo a superfight and will call any hyped fight between two guys from different divisions a superfight. So people will call it a superfight when it's between any two current UFC champions.

IMO a true 'superfight' is when a dominant champion moves up to fight a guy bigger than him in a weight class above him (or possibly in some cases even two?) to show off his skillset is so great that he can still deliver at that weight class. Something like GSP v. Anderson or GSP v. Jones would've felt like a superfight. Jones v. Cain atm is the only one currently that would feel like a superfight to me.

So yeah, it depends on how you want to explain what a superfight is. Barao or Cruz v. Aldo and Aldo v. Pettis are fights I'd both love to see. It just wouldn't feel like a superfight to me.

Btw, size difference between fighters =/= freakshow.
 
All of them, mix & match. GSP vs Weidman, Weidman vs Jones, Jones vs Cain, GSP vs Pettis, Pettis vs Aldo, Aldo vs Barao.
