Fedor and M1 weren't wrong for wanting co-promotion with UFC

Fedor isn't he reason those organizations went under you buffoon lol, nothing you say from here on out I give a rats ass to here you're obviously the one with a slant towards anything not UFC.
Yeah its not his fault. If they want to over pay so they can't stay afloat it isn't Fedor or any other fighters fault. But he is the poster child of a guy thriving while the orgs go bankrupt.

Affliction overpaid more then just Fedor. Big Timmy, Arlovski and more. What Fedor and M1 Global were able to extract was more then it was worth in the long run for most if not all of those.

As far as a slant for only UFC its not entirely true or false. I was very big on the UFC from Post TUF (I am a TUF Noob) until basically sometime after the May/Mac era when defending became an afterthought. I liked some Strike Force events but some were crap. I liked Bellator but a good chunk of it was crap. I liked PRIDE in retrospect but some of it was crap. Never really watched WEC.

With all of that said at this point the vast majority of what the UFC puts on is crap now. So much of the roster are fighting for nothing as rankings matter little. They are basically a bunch of cans and then a few influencers building their brand off of the UFC.

That's complete bullshit lol ya he's afraid to fight in the UFC who had Cain, Brock etc, at the time but instead choose to fight Werdum and BF lol who are more dangerous and had he got past BF would have had to face Reem your narrative doesn't hold up at all probably because you're trying to discredit Fedor like a lot of UFC fans do.
Werdum is not more dangerous stylically fir Fedor , a strong wrestler with quick explosive movements like a 270 pound plus guy would be far more dangerous that’s why even in pride they gave him tough fights and was lucky in some that it wasn’t a cage bc in fights like the Fujita one he’d have been against a cage being under the ropes helped him out a lot in that one , cage fighting is way different which is why he doesn’t have a great record when we look carefully.

He wouldn’t fight Reem either that’s called selective history.

Do you really think a co promotion was realistic? If you say yes you are a Fedor fan bc the answer is no that’s called putting something in place that would stop any fight from happening .

WHEN? Nearly 20 years ago, when this was happening?

So, my experience is not indication of "mainstream," but yours, somehow magically is?

"I get that was your experience, but that just doesn't have any bearing on what I'm saying."

The "average fan" didn't know much about the UFC, either, when this shit was going down, as you've demonstrated.
Yes, 15-20 years ago. I’m not really following your incredulity there since that’s what matters.

I would respond to your question about my experience versus yours, but in the very next sentence you agree that the average fan didn’t know much about the sport so I don’t know why I would bother since that’s my entire point; most fans didn’t have a deep knowledge of the sport. If you weren’t in the UFC AND pretty successful then chances are fans didn’t have a clue who you were. Fedor doesn’t fulfill those criteria.

Werdum was not easier fight than Cain who he destroyed that's a fact unlike you're shitty opinion of Fedor would have more trouble with a wrestler lol he beat wrestlers in the past. Secondly completely irrelevant bullshit about well if this or that fight would have been in a cage then this would have happened who cares about hypotheticals it's pointless and that's the only way you can discredit is by making up bullshit.

Finally yes I don't think stamping M1 in smaller letters on the mat would have been that big a deal for the events Fedor was headlining they put dumb shit like monster energy drink directly in the center but everyone is freaking out about M1 being there for a few events idiots.

Lesnar was sidelined for months after his operation and went right into the Cain fight and still was able to take him down , Fedor does not have Cains defense abilities either .

Fedor would have fought a healthy Brock which obviously would have been a harder stylistic match for him not the rusty weaker one . Werdum would be an easier fight for Lesnar then either Cain or Fedor that’s just a fact .

Attaching M1 legally to UFC isn’t a big deal to you bc your a Fedor fan so no logic is necessary , you can claim that but that’s a deal breaker, had they not played games the fight was more likely to happen but that’s on Fedor not Brock .

I wasn't gonna respond but you gave a well thought out response those orgs mentioned I remember a couple of them Bodog, Affliction and their entire thing was that we're gonna do everything massive and over the top and imo they did but in the fight game where everything that can go wrong will go wrong they could not keep it up, the stacked cards the pay outs wasn't made for longevity so that's why many of these failed.

I personally thought 95% of Pride was incredible very little for me to complain about. The modern UFC I find myself skipping so many of their events mainly for the reasons you mentioned the top guys seem more like social media personalities rather than fighters so I'm not interested in that the masses can have it, rankings only matter if said fighter is popular among the casuals.

Of course they were. There’s always an A side and M1 Global wasn’t it for sure.

Fedor was out there KO’ing bums.

He could’ve become UFC Champ but “would’ve could’ve should’ve” 🥱

If you want to prove you’re the best, you have to fight in the premier league against the top guys.
The entire thread concept is dumb . It’s dumb as rocks in fact thinking Dana and the UFC heads are going to co promote a Russian promotion knowing it has also ties to the mob , even without the other deal breaks it’s virtually not going to happen and the UFC wasn’t going to risk any damage to its company with potential illegal activities of a foreign company…dumb dumb dumb . Lol

Considering we live in the age of social media and marketing is now associated with even individuals, you should really consider reading about basic marketing.

First off, the fact that you think that "slapping m1" on the canvas is the same as Monster Energy Drink being on there are even analogous shows that you are pretty much illiterate in this field, which is fine, but why are you being so critical of something you do not even understand the basics of?

Monster is a sponsor. They PAY the UFC to be put in the center of the cage, and the reason why the UFC allows that is because Monster is a credible product that everyone has heard of.

M1 is NOT a sponsor, but a company that is actually taking money away from the UFC. Not only that, but most of the MMA media did not even understand what M1 did or how their promotion was ran. It was a scammy promotion in a foreign market which the UFC had no interest in (and still doesn't even 15 years later).

It's also not just slapping their name on the canvas, it's flat out renaming the event to "M1 Presents: UFC 125" - the event is under M1's name. And finally, unlike Monster, M1 is not taking 50% of the profits.

You're basically asking why the UFC did not pay 100+ million dollars for Fedor, probably closer to 200 million in overall value.

Monster and M1 are polar opposites, my jaw actually dropped reading you try to compare them. The UFC is making money from one, while losing money to the other.

"The Canadian Football League and the NFL present the Superbowl!". "TNA: WWE Wrestlemania 50!". "Major League Soccer/FIBA World Cup".

Blaming the UFC for not accepting an M1 co promotion is a monster fail . Lol

I'm really getting sick of people on here with their stupid retarded strawman points nothing you say about the comparison between monster or M1 matters worth a shit you know why because the UFC wanted Fedor not the other way around it was Dana and UFC that seeks him out so if they wanted to have his services than copromoting is what they had to do in order to make that happen, so nothing you said means anything and was a total waste for you to write it all the points about marketing pointless and M1 taking money from UFC for having their tiny logo on the few cards that are headlining their biggest star is not asking much and is definitely not taking money away from UFC you said it yourself that no one knows who M1 is nor do they care and I bet no one would even look into them.

Who said M1 would take 50% of the profits I don't buy that at all but either way M1 could make any demands they want as they had the product and the UFC wanted that product but declined therefore the UFC failed not Fedor or M1 who had more leverage at that time and got a better deal. You're completely dead wrong about the UFC makes money from monster but would not from copromoting with M1 that's exactly how they would secure Fedor back then and make mega fights with Brock and whoever else that's totally ridiculous notion and that's also why they wanted him in the first place because he was number 1 and that's the fights the fans were obsessing about at that time you're way off here and as usual sucking the dick of the UFC.

How exactly is it a strawman for him to address the exact comparison YOU made? How is it you think the UFC failed by not producing the fights YOU wanted? Sounds like you’re the one that missed out, UFC sure as shit didn’t miss out from a business standpoint since a co promotion with M1 made about as much damn sense as hosting an event on the moon.

Who said M1 would take 50% of the profits I don't buy that at all

M1 said it.

Going back to co-promotion, so you’re saying co-promotion for M-1 means a 50/50 investment between the two parties?

Yeah, yeah. You sit down with the hard numbers. What’s the fight purses? What’s the venue? What’s the advertising budget? Travel, food, throw it all in a pot, split it down the middle, and at the end of the event if the ink is black and there’s a profit, split the profit, and if the ink is red, then just split the loss.

At least Fedor never tooks PEDs

There is some evidence Fedor took PEDs

Fedor never needed the UFC for legitimacy, he was fighting guys who were either UFC level or former UFC champs. Additionally Pride and SF had several fighters would later compete for and some win UFC gold.

Dude those were the fights the fans wanted back in 2009 are you trying to say no one gave a shit back then if so you're misinformed, Dana said himself we tried negotiations multiple times THEY wanted Fedor not the other way around. UFC did miss from a business stand point they could have had the number HW at the time face their guys and imo these events would have did massive numbers people knew who Fedor was and Brock was just as popular if not more in the U.S so you'd have had those people as well it may have been the biggest the event ever, they lost out and it shows that Dana was so aggravated because the negotiations didn't pan out but he began attacking Fedor's career why because he was pissed that he couldnt get him in the UFC pretty simple to understand.
