What the hell is this?

I've had ringworm but it was never bigger than a quarter. Looks like an allergic rash, which isn't dangerous unless you start to have trouble breathing. I would definately go to the doc to get it checked immediately just to be on the safe side.
 
Looks like an allergic reaction. Ask your instructor if they switched cleaning agents for the mats. If its an allergy to the chemicals I find it hard to believe that this is the first time it has showed up.

Analyze what you ate and any medications you took the day of / before this mystery rash appeared as well as any possible situations where you could have been bit by something like a spider. Your Dr. will want to know this. I have had nasty rashes show up due to allergies to certain medications.

Could you possible be blaming this on jiu-jitsu?

Either way the best advise is to seek med attn immediately.
 
Have you switched laundry detergents recently?

It looks and sounds like an allergic reaction to fiber or dyes. -ken

Yeah, also thought the initial pic was a leg, which contributed to my initial misdiagnosis.

You're right: Ringworm don't get that big.
 
i cant' think of what it is called but here is a pic of something that looks just like that in my health occ book
i would go 2 the doctor asap!

that is defently ring worm, a bit of cream on it from your doctor and about a week later you should be fine
 
holy crap! i was bewildered when i first looked at it too. i didn't think skin was ever supposed to get that white! but how does that happen in jiu jitsu?

...oh wait. you guys were talking about the rash. never mind...
