What Salary Would Make You Pay for PPVs?

I’d need to make substantially over 6 figures to consider paying. I’ve been streaming since 2010. i don’t pay for internet either and use my hotspot data. I stream everything from MMA, NFL, NHL, etc. I’m used to watching shit on my phone now too. Only big games/fights get watched in my TV.

It's not about money for me. I just prefer to watch my fights in a public setting hence why I go to bars. The one time i bought the ppv I feel asleep during the prelims and missed the entire card
Yeah I also sometimes have trouble staying awake and miss 2 or 3 fights (live) which is damn annoying.

Hmm that was a weird question

If bitcoin hits 300k then okay i will pay

250k max in September. 200k more likely. 180k for sure in march. You've heard it here

PPV model is idiotic and obsolete, would never pay for it regardless of how much I make. Would be willing to pay ~$10 for Fight Pass if all events were included, though it's getting harder and harder to justify spending a single $ as it has gotten so bad I can barely bother watching it all for free.

It's not just about what the fighters are getting paid. Pov prices are like double what they were when I started watching if not higher. I don't feel like the quality has been increasing like the prices, and we know the fighters only see a fraction of the profits.

I'm double checking on that, because that might be region specific, because here you can get ESPN+, but the cost of PPVs is separate and you have to pay for them.

If not, that's an amazing freakin deal.

dang that is cheap. we gotta shell out 80$ a month for PPVs in the USA. its 11.99/month for ESPN+

Oh yeah.. for sure it is regional. This is Argentina. At USD 80 would not sell a single PPV.

IDK if you guys can get around that but it is a good deal.

I buy a few PPV per year because when I take time for an event I also want to watch it with absolutely no issues and with all the insights etc...

The thing is, we dont buy PPV anymore (at least not Austria or Croatia from where I watch most events) but you pay a monthly subscription of around 30eur and the PPV events are included. So, when we have a month where I want to watch an event I just update the subscription for this month and thats it.

I could be a billionaire and wouldn't pay for it. Why would I need to pay, it's easy enough now to watch every event for free and it'll only get easier.

If I really wanted to then I'd just go to any event I wanted.

If I knew my money was going to the fighters I support. But Dana's driveway full of snow is coming soon, so fck that

Probably none anymore, because I no longer wish so much a cent in Dana White's pocket. I'll stick to YouTube watch parties.

And I know that some people say "don't do that, you'll. end up taking money out of the fighters pockets." Two things though. One, let's face is, no matter how much the UFC generates on PPV they aren't gonna pay their fighters more.

Second, that is unfortunate. But if I decide to boycott a company for whatever reason--let's just pick Hobby Lobby--nobody would say "you shouldn't do that, you'll be taking money out of the pocket of their employees." Why should the UFC be any different.?

haven't paid for one in years. once it went past $50 i stopped. anything past that is just stupid.

I pay for all the PPVs. I wear the shirt, collected all the bobble heads, own the Jon Jones King card and even bought Miesha Tate’s Fight shorts from when she submitted Holly Holm. Now if you will excuse me, I am branding some hotdogs.

It's not about how much it is. It's about how much you're getting for how much it is. I make plenty and I still have no desire to buy PPV's. Dana's quality assurance is fucking awful. Show me who is actually going to fight. Have doctors give constant checkups on whether fighters are cleared for the fight night. Show me who is the backup in case someone gets injured or sick. But he's not going to do any of that. So he's not going to get any of my money.

Dana won't stack bangers- He doesn't think about the fans. He doesn't try to make amazing cards, he spreads popular fights out over numerous PPV's and mixes in as much bullshit as he can to give as little while getting maximum possible revenue. And he's allowed to do that. And I'm allowed to not buy it.

I got quite high salary in country, where UFC charge me 40$ and I can earn up to 1k per day.
And still I don't buy PPV, got ufc fight pass, prefer to watch it week later.

Hopefully this concern will become moot when (hoping) the UFC introduces the inclusive subscription for the US like some other countries have.

N/a, I'd only buy a Ppv if I could write it off as a business expense. I do want to own a sports bar one day. Pipe dream
