What percentage of PPV $'s does UFC keep?

Just trying to figure out how underpaid the fighters still seem to be in 2016.
If UFC 196 sold 1.5 million, at $50/$60 a pop (SD/HD), that is $75,000,000. Now if the UFC gets 50% of that, that is still $37,500,000. Plus the $8,100,000 at the gate.

$45,600,000 total
Total fighter pay was probably under $4,000,000

No wonder Dana is reportedly worth $350,000,000. 1-2 years ago he was worth $300,000,000.....UNBELIEVABLE!

The % the UFC keeps depends on the source. With UFC.TV 100% depending on how they account for it interdepartmentally. Cable and satellite I'd guess they keep closer to 60% as they have their own distribution available they can forces a high piece of the pie.

As far as the rest of your numbers goes. The UFC doesn't keep the entire gate. Conor was claiming to make more than 10 million dollars this fight. The fighters on the marquee are making a lot of money. For things to change they would have to be willing give some of that up. We all know that's not going to happen.

Unionization is probably not going to work. It would taking breaking the organizations like enacting the Ali act for mma. This would throw the sport into chaos. You would find the fighters at the bottom making even less than they do now.
