The first X-Men film. It seemed awesome when it first came out, but it is eclipsed by the comic book films that have been released since, and no where's near as good in comparison.

Disagree. The first X-Men is much better than most of the MCU movies.

A lot of the CGI-heavy movies in the 90s and 2000s look really rough today and to me have aged much worse than many of their pre-CGI counterparts. Was watching Attack of the Clones a few years ago and every time they were in Coruscant I was just so distracted by weird contrast between the actors and the background which looked like it was ripped from an early Xbox 360 game.

Hmph...I'm kinda stumped. Most films' bad quality, always seems charming as time goes on, and simply a product of their time.

"The Birth of a Nation", I guess. Nothing charming about that. That was some Americanized Goebbels shit.

Why heat?

Because of Vincent Hanna's shitty tv set?

The romance scenes between De Niro and whatsherface are very late 80's early 90's feeling. TBH that aspect of the movie already felt cringey and dated when it came out in '95.

And the much anticipated scene between De Niro and Pacino is so disappointing. It's basically a bunch of "If you get in my way imma kill you" "Oh yeah? Well if you get in MY way imma kill YOU" and it's just like..... really guys? This is the most compelling shit you could come up with?

Everything pre 1980 imo, except Jaws. Jaws is sensational. The rest are garbage.

12 Angry Men is in friggin black and white and still holds up. I can't think of any other film from the 1950s that holds up so well.

Lol at saying Heat hasn’t aged well. What a fuckin goof!

Why Heat bro? For me it's still easily a GOAT and the bank robbery is still something that has never been topped

I stated why above. Some characters motivations make no sense (De Niro's love interest). And the much hyped scene between De Niro and Pacino is a bunch of cringey tough guy talk that sounds like it was improvised on the spot.

Fair enough but for me De Niro's girl thing just highlights a life he wants but can never have, which is another thing he has in common with Hanna and his dysfunctional life outside of the job

I agree the De Niro - Pacino scene isn't all that though

Labrynth.

David Bowie kidnaps a baby and then prances around in leggings telling a 15 year old girl that he wants to be her slave....

WtAF.

Yeah, but that's not really a product of being "dated". More of a product of you just not liking it.

What are some movies that haven't aged well? Whether because of political/societal reasons, technology reasons, or that just do not look as good as they may have in the past (poor animation, CGI, costumes, etc.).

A movie that immediately comes to mind is Juwanna Mann. A humorous movie that pokes fun at the idea of a man playing sports with women and dominating. In 2002, we found it funny because we found the idea of this happening to be ridiculous. This is no longer a joke nor is it politically correct to make fun of.

What are others?
that movie is actually woke AF for trans people
