What movie/scene made you cry?

I'm surprised a movie that hasnt been brought up, one usually sees in these lists.

Havent seen it myself, so can't remember the name.

Think it was in Nazi Germany times, 2 kids develop a friendship, something about a fence. One of the kids is a Jewish kid who's in a concentration camp, ends up dieing at the end of the movie.

It'd be too sad for me to watch. Seeing kids hurt or in pain is crushing for me (that's about half my list of movies I've listed)

You guys remember that part in Benji , when the kidnappers kicked Benji’s lil gf dog????
That one got me as a kid.

The end of Edward Scissorhands, when she had to leave him up there, so sad.

SPOILER

In Yellowstone when Rip somwhat learn that he is not only a son to be able to take the ranch, but simply his a son to KC ...
Just to be used as a human shield.
Routh.

I know we're all manly men, but we have our soft parts? As I get older, certain scenes that wouldn't even phase me back in the day, now they get me teary eyed

Probably the first movie that got me teared up

And then recently, Star Wars nerds know the impact of Kanan's death

Put down the huge weights, and lets hear it

Every time.....

This never fails to make me cry as an adult. When I first watched it when I was a kid, I didn't really felt emotional on this but yeah, this one does make me teary eyed knowing the whole backstory of the movie.

“You see? He lives in YOU.” Combined with the Zimmer flute theme

That hits a lot harder now with a father who has since passed

From the suicide to this moment I’m pretty much bawling like a baby.

it is a scene from an anime....it is a hard scene to watch

Gotta give credit to this scene as well. Just wow.

Although I think what follows is even more effective, showing having to carry on going to work as a teacher after that and indeed the scene in the cafe at the end.

I blame watching too much late night channel 4 growing up, means my cinematic empathy is like heroin addict having to mainline to get a response, normally involving pretty actresses, sex and/or death.

The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover managed to make me nausious and cry although luckily not at the same time, the latter
Mirren talking about being sexually abused and beaten to her murdered lovers corpse
.

Thomas Jay's funeral is pretty brutal in the movie My Girl. Especially seeing that he died trying to find Vada's mood ring when he stepped on a bees nest.

Hard to think of a sin more vile than :eek::eek::eek:philia

word the Keenan death gets you in the feels

Grave of the Fireflies. I won't spoil it for those who haven't watch the film but you can watch the scene on youtube.

The scene where Brendan and Tommy duking it out in Warrior also made me shed a bit of tears because it hits close to home.
Especially when you realize Tommy let’s Brendan win, adds even more feels to it.

Too many to count. I remember choking up hard in recent years to Highlander when Connor stayed young but his wife grows old and they still love each other. Then the real punch in the gut when it shows him lighting a candle every year after her death for like 500+ years. All on top of Queen's "Who Wants to Live Forever?" playing. Goddamn it...
That’s another good one.

Anything when a pet dog dies, after a long happy life with their family.

this one is goat and I came here to post it

Edit: like a dumbass I just watched it again and now I’m balling. :(
