My wife definitely grew into her Karen archetype after she gave birth a third time. The stress and anxiety produced by the hormonal imbalance has made her unable to control her emotions. She is a straight up nightmare for anyone in customer service and she'll ask for a manager every third or fourth customer service encounter. And if I don't meet her level of outrage, then she determines that I have sided with the enemy. "You're never on my side!" Or "a real man stands by his wife!" Are things I expect her to say when I ask her to calm down. Believe it or not, I still love her, however I had to tell her I was falling out of love because of this issue and she's gotten surprisingly better ever since.

It's an emotions regulation thing. Women have many roles in society and in a family, and Karen's are the ones who have lost their ability to be patient, understanding, and the image of the perfect housewife. It's still a really unbecoming feature of their personality though
