"These illegal acts are not a problem for me therefore Jones isn't that bad" isn't a great argument. Jones has behavioural issues and a problem taking responsibility for his actions. It's unwise to judge him too harshly since none of us have faced the temptations he has: young, famous, rich, successful, women throwing themselves at him, people offering him drugs, belief in personal invincibility etc, who is to say we'd handle his life any better? But that doesn't mean people cannot recognise that the things he does are wrong.

Dude, you're crazy. I don't know where you were raised at, or what kind of shit your parents are into, but no one does that where I'm from. If my dad fucked around on my mom like that, did as much coke as Jones, ran his car into a pregnant lady - fled the scene - came back to the scene to get all of his money out of the car - fled the scene again, and did not even bother to check on her; I would hit him as hard as I could in the face. He might whip my ass because he's bigger than me; but I wouldn't claim someone like that as my dad.

First off, there was no way he knew that woman was pregnant. Saying crashing into a pregnant woman insinuates he knew she was. Second, why would he stay at the scene when he knows he has weed with him and would go directly to jail? Even a person that's high enough to crash has the common sense to get out of there and take the drugs with you. Only thing he forgot was the pipe.
