What is your single most unpopular MMA opinion?

What is your one MMA opinion which no one agrees with?
What do you truly believe that causes the most rustling of jimmies?
Remember, truly believe.

Mine?
Cain is more of a "What if?" than an all time great at HW, let alone the HW GOAT.

A shit gym culture with a grueling overtraining method absolutely and preventatively demolished Cain's knees and back, leading to a long period of inactivity and bout cancellations at the end of his career where he would have solidified his legacy with a Werdum rematch instead of his title reign consisting of him beating Brock then being better than Bigfoot and JDS for two years.

He comes back bald and gets blasted by Ngannou in 26 seconds with his knee blowing out (again), ending his career on a whimper, rather than a bang.
I respect your pick; though I think you are aiming at the wrong target.

That was purely Cain's decision to stay there.
And reality (meaning results) destroys your argument about the gym worse than Cain did Junior on their second & third fights!
I mean, at the time, they held 3 top Belts in the UFC.
Yes, they "overtrained". But that allowed them to bully everyone else.
And that, they did. The belts are the ultimate results, and the price are well known (on your body).
Some can take it (i.e. DC). Others can't (Cain).

I was his "brittle" body's fault for those injures. And that's on Cain for selecting to stay at this gym. One should know what his own body can take.

My most unpopular opinion is that I am tired of the blatant bias by the commentators. There HAS TO BE someone that can tell them to tone down their fanboyism!

I guess this drove me nuts yesterday, which is why it's on the top of my list!

Hell, I'll give you one example.
Angela Hill & Iasmin Lucindo.
Lucindo presses her against the cage, they praise how "Angie" defends well.
She is taken down (rather easily), they started talking into how much bigger Lucindo were from hill, claiming she had to cut huge amounts while "angie" almost did not cut any.
And so forth. Not one positive for Lucindo, and praises for "Angie" (That alone, that they call her nickname while praising her)....
How can anyone even pretend they are unbiased?????
And don't give me the "everyone is biased". Yes we all are. But it is simply THEIR JOB to police themselves and to filter their bias.

This is unprofessional at best!

Khamzat has hands down the most underrated cardio in the UFC.
Where does this opinion even come from? Every fight he’s in is like one round. He gassed out in both the Usman and Burns fights towards the end.

Rewatch the Burns fight without commentary.

He threw 239 strikes in that fight, 94 of them in round 3.

With 10 seconds left in round 3, he's the one pushing forward.

None of them employed Grasso as their main S&C coach. Only Cain did for his fights with JDS. AKA, while having a bad rep already, wasn't the issue. Joe Grasso was. He ruined Cain and is a hidden villain of MMA that has seemingly slipped through the cracks of our sports history, but not on my watch!

The issue wasn't AKA. It came down to one man.

Joe Grasso.

Joe Grasso has attempted to get this video taken down everywhere it pops up, I really should save a copy for posterity's sake.

My knees hurt just hearing that video let alone watching it.

The Strength and Conditioning version of bullshido, though we'd need someone to cough up the $250 for the one time training session and girth measurement to make sure.

Fedor Emelianenko is one of the most overrated fighters of all time, even with a win over Noguiera, Noguiera in the end with wins and losses, has fought better, stronger competition on a consecutive basis. The worst thing Fedor ever did for his career was not signing with the UFC, His peers in Noguiera, Hendersons, Rua, Jacksons standings on the podium are rarely if ever questioned.

Just because Fighters have a few losses, it does not mean they’re out of their primes, they just loss to a better fighter.

Joe Lauzon is one of the best Jiu Jitsu fighters a LW ever, better Jiu Jitsu than Nate Diaz & Tony Ferguson, and is equal to Charles Oliveira.

Bisping would’ve given Anderson Silva a hard fight at any point.

Fedor is overrated, i don’t know if already mentioned that.

Nunes is a sloppy fighter and a prime example of "right place at the right time," and if she had lost again right after the first Pena fight (or if Cyborg had gotten a rematch), the consensus on her would be solidly "never that good."
