What is your greatest one time octagon performance from some fighter?

Just to name a few -

Henderson vs. Bisping (the 1st fight)
Nick Diaz vs Gomi
Gomi vs Luis Azeredo (the 1st fight)
Machida vs. Evans
BJ Penn vs. Caol Uno
Couture vs. Tim Sylvia
Tank Abbot vs. Steve Nelmark
Frank Mir vs. Tim Sylvia
Frank Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz
Pete Williams vs. Mark Coleman
Liddell vs. Jackson (the 1st Pride fight)
Jackson vs. Silva (1 and especially 2)
Jackson vs. Arona
Hughes vs. Trigg (1 and 2)

and of course.....
Mark Hunt vs. Silva (home of the Atomic Butt Drop)

lawler on ufc 189 against rory

this was the shit

lawler to big john '' i feel fucking great '' after being asked if he's ok. pure gold

Alessio Legionarius Sakara looked like an apocalyptic fighter in his debut. Until he got hit in the nuts

Ok I think I read the thread wrong but maybe everyone else did

greatest one time performance has to be Mark Schultz

Olympic champ beating up Goodrich and never coming back

runner up is Saku winning ultimate Japan and never coming back

Kevin Randleman vs Mirko Cro Cop 1- Short fight, but Kevin clearly executed a very specific gameplan. He trained Cro Cop to react to the level change early and used a picture perfect set up of level change feint to leaping hook. Perfect.

Spencer Fisher vs Sam Stout 2- Spencer looked freaking on point and as sharp as i have ever seen him this fight. incredible stuff

Yves Edwards vs Jeremy Stephens- (Late career best) Great performance in the twilight of his career and amidst his final long slump. A final great peak on his way out the door.

Hendricks vs GSP- I know Jonny lost but I'll be damned if you can't tell me that that fight wasn't the best performance of his career!

These were random off the top of my head but I know there are tons more great examples. Fun thread

Has to be Mike Russow for me, complete and utter punching bag for 3 rounds and eats 427 punches, throws 1 punch the entire fight and lands that 1 punch knocking Duffee out cold, followed my hammerfist that only a demonic entity from another star system could come up with. Best performance I ever seen, eat 427 punches and throw 1 yourself and win the fight, epic stuff
That fight convinced my gf at the time that MMA was 100% fake like pro wrestling haha

The best part is O'Malley lands a massive back of the head shot at the end of the 2nd or 3rd that gets ignored. He turns his head into the most pillow fisted shot ever and even beats his recent UFC performances with the award winning performance.

One thing I noticed between the two fights is he doesn't control posture or defend G&P well from all appearances. He kinda panics and flails until he can kick away.I think he will get put on his arse and finished from that position a few more times before he finishes his career.

That fight I linked though does show some pin point accuracy as the other guy was shooting in though. O'Malley caught him flush on multiple shots when they weren't set up. If he wasn't physically made of glass he would do well. The game plan for future opponents is definitely pressure fighting (think Gaethje)
Yeah any pressure fighter with a solid chin and heavy strikes will give him problems. He needs his movement and needs to fight on the outside and be able to do his in and out movements with feints in between. Take that away, and mess with his timing and it will throw him off completely. Especially if you make him fight in the pocket, he doesn't seem durable for those type of fights. He doesn't like fighting with people in his face, he never plants his feet and trade shots. Solid shots he got hit with in his previous fights completely changed his body language, he doesn't handle getting hit well at all.

Yeah I noticed his defense on the ground against ground and pound was lacking, he got pounded out and flash KO right away when it hit the ground with Vera. Even with all that he still tried to discredit Vera's win.

It can be extra exceptional performance from some trash fighter or from great one:

To me it is Cody vs Dom, Cody had masterful night and played with Dom in all fields it was something to see.

came here to post and then saw your pick and oh yeah cody-dom was amazing

i'll add serra-gsp
and i'm biased but diaz-conor I

Lorenz Larkin vs Neil Magny.

Lorenz looked like probably the most dangerous fighter ever in that fight

Bisping vs Rockhold 2
Bisping vs Silva
Bisping vs Cung Le
Holly vs Rhonda
Joanna vs Cookie Monster & Penne
Joanna vs Wei Lei and Wei Lei vs Joanna (both ladies where completely flawless in this fight. Still easily the most breathtaking war I have ever seen. 5 rounds of complete and total balls to the wall perfect savagery. )

Israel vs Whittaker
Wiedman vs Vitor
Conor vs Aldo
Conor vs Dustan
Conor vs Eddie
Conor cs Cowboy
Cowboy vs Story
Maia vs Gunnar

These are my picks.

"And he looked like I was stupid for doing it, like 'did you really think you could hit me? what a stupid thing to think'." Lmao.

P4p best interview of all time. Forest is legit just one of the funniest dudes ever.

lol for sure, dude I listen to that interview at least once a year, just because its so humble of a guy like Forrest to just be like yo he was just so much better than me haha.

Edit: Had to pull it up and listen just for the hell of it, and in case anyone hasn't seen it:
