I'm upper class according to the chart but I live in NY and am Middle Class. Average home around me is 750k and is a cape or ranch.

461k with a family of 4 in NYC metro area is pretty middle class...

It's expensive AF to live here.

According to income - Upper.
According to every other metric on there (b/c I live in California) - Middle at best

I voted before I saw the table. But I voted "Working Class" since I need to work to survive. After looking at the table, I guess I am much higher than "Working Class." But I think that table is inaccurate.

According to that chart... Upper class
But I live in San Diego so middle class.

Also, I'm assuming this is individual income, not household income?

By these numbers I am middle class but I'd be upper class if adjusted for my country. I am a systems analyst and make around 80 grand a year. We have slightly lower salaries compared to the US, but the cost of living is much less. I am most likely better off here than I'd be in the US with 120 grand (my peers make around that much in the US).
Here the cost of living varies so wildly that $120k will allow you to live like a king in some areas .. and in others barely afford a condo.

We have been told that Working Class would be lost due to AI.

I'm not sure that's the truth anymore.

Like a lot of my sher-bros are saying, my income cracks the bottom of Upper Class, but the range for upper is enormous and my life circumstances far more closely resemble the middle class.

Just squeaked out upper class by 1k, but live better than my 1% peers.

I have rented the same place for 18yrs. 900$ a month 1250 sq ft.
All 4 of my cars are paid off. '13 Highlander, '08 Forester, '23 4runner, '23 Model3
I have zero debt.
I use my 401k to drop into the 12% tax bracket.

Well off enough but socialise with royalty.
