What is the single bravest act of all time?

I heard a story of a dude who was working on servicing oilfield machinery and got his leg caught and mangled in a pump driveshaft.

He severed his own leg with a hunting knife to crawl out to a highway to safety. 99% of people would have died.
Not as intense
Old high school friend of mine was using a mechnanical log splitter back in the woods, something broke and shot a pice of metal into his chest puncturing his lung

He got in his truck and drove to where he had signal to call 911.

He was quite to tough motherfucker in high school, still was after apparently.

"Four Finnish cave divers face their worst nightmare when two of their friends drown deep inside an underwater cave in Norway. When the official recovery operation is called off by the Norwegian and British authorities after being deemed too risky, the friends set out on a secret mission to retrieve the bodies themselves."

Good documentary too

There’s been many but Randy Shughart and Gary Gordon’s actions in the Battle of Mogadishu will always have an impression on me.

Hmmm recovering rotting corpses and possibly becoming one yourself....... Isn't bravery, hope these people didn't have dependents relying on them.......
