What is the most scummiest job a person can have?

I've only ever dealt with one tow truck driver who wasn't a complete rat bastard. Maybe I've just had really bad luck with them, but I've disliked tow truck drivers for as long as I can remember.

Depends whether they're state-appointed or private.

Public defenders play a vital role in a democratic society. Absolutely everyone, even the shittiest people, deserve legal representation. Of course there's also tons of good people who simply can't afford a lawyer.

Corporate lawyers or other high-priced lawyers that defend the rich and powerful can fuck off.

There's a big scandal unravelling in the UK at the moment where people have been selling 'caravans' on 'caravan' parks. I don't actually know what the correct name for one of these is but they are often referred to as 'caravans'.

Anyway they have been mass sold to people, usually retired, for high prices. The 'caravan' is on the seller's site and subject to various fees and use restrictions. Like you can only live in it over the summer, not for too long etc. There are restrictions in law - this kind of site needs a residential license to allow people to live there all year, and the sites often don't have them, but I get the impression that the site owners are going beyond the law with their restrictions and misrepresenting the situation to buyers.

They jack up the rent and maintenance and cleaning fees etc. and overcharge for utilities. The caravan owners can't get those from someone else.

They undercut the owners with their own 'caravans', so even within the use restrictions the purchasers can't let their caravans at a profit. The 'caravans' depreciate quickly and heavily. Maybe the site owners offer to buy the 'caravan' back for a third or so of what they paid five or ten years ago. A lot of people have lost most or all of their life savings.

People who were trying to exploit others by landlording themselves got exploited by landlords, maybe they deserved it but it's still wrong. People foolish enough to put their money into this kind of thing deserve to lose it, again I can see the point of view but this behaviour really ought to be against the law.

Haven't done much. But, It's just the whole scharade about pretending that they're "working for you", when in fact all they care about is dumping the property, and securing their commision ASAP. If the property doesn't sell it self, they usually dont give a rat's ass about your end.

Think about it, ever heard an agent tell an owner to temporarily hold on to a property, wait on accepting an offer, or any other genuine honest advice that would delay their commision?
 
Anybody involved in Human trafficking. The damage they do is immense on the victims and they funnel illegals into sovereign countries. Should be death penalty.

Cab drivers that is more a traffic thing than trafficking. 9 out of 10 times they try to steal money by going longer routes. When confronted they always play dumb or suddenly their language skills drop a few points, as if they didnt know the city when that is their whole job.

bureaucrats they thrive on things not getting done im convinced they get off on it tbh.

Salesmen especially the ones who dont work on repeat busIness. Squeeze if you let them.

Emergency key services is full of ex convicts who found a way to extort money from desperate people without breaking the law. Thankfully never had to use them but seen it with friends. 900 bucks up front and if you dont have it too bad.

The idiots who stand around asking for donations for a cause, of course they get paid by each donation so it is in their best interest to pretend to care.

no, you're right but I'd go a step further and say anyone involved in the car industry, anywhere where there's no real requirements and where people with no real skill can fake it so easy you will get all those dumbassed kids who the teacher used to say, "how are you gonna get through life" well, that's the business for them.

However, I did meet one tow driver, wonderful guy. I tried to give him a tip one time and he told me no, "i got to sleep at night" but the other ones? ya, they seemed like sleazy people. Triple AAA guys have seemed ok to me though.

Two years ago I was camping out on the NY/CT border for a week. Driving home with my car all loaded up with added weight, going up and down hilly mountain roads was too much and the engine shit the bed (I didn't know that then). I was 90 miles from home/RI. Luckily we took two cars out there so I was able to stuff some gear into the other car and drive home, but still had to leave alot of my stuff in the car.

The tow service and driver agreed to bring my car to my house. Long drive obviously, whatever I'm going to pay for your time, charge me whatever you want. I get home, hours go by, no car. I call the tow company and they give me a bunch of bullshit, its on the way. Never shows up. Call them back and they finally tell me we dropped your car at some lot in NY, you're going to have to go get it. wtf? nevermind reneging, why would you take my car in the wrong fucking direction? the guy was such a piece of shit, trying to tell me oh our driver wouldn't agree to that like I wasn't there and he was. I don't think I threatened to murder them or blow up their shop but I'm not saying I didn't. Finally got them to find a driver to bring my car home, showed up at like 2 am. Long ass day that was. Fucking scumbags, who knows what they were gonna do with it. I had super basic AAA and thats the only thing that saved my ass.

that sounds about right, mechanics always seem all fucked up in some way, one guy told me he was in prison for stabbing someone and he eventually got stabbed and killed by his own brother, another told me he couldn't drive me to check out a new car because he had a DUI and would get locked up, that's the, just troubled people to begin with. I hate dealing with anyone in the car business, I do what I can on my own so as not to deal with them and of course if I can fix my brakes that takes a job they'll charge 800 for and turn it into roughly 200 and I don't have to deal with scum.

I forgot to mention that I know of a tow truck driver who started his towing business from scratch, somehow he became a millionaire through all his business finaglings, fed by his towing business. Anyway, the guy was a felon, got locked up on a 14 year bid over being a crack dealer. Those industries are wide open in ways that others aren't and they feed on the desperation of people in bad situations. a single mom with a broke down car or someone broke down in the middle of the night will take anyone who can help them, even a felon. I don't know the guy, I only hear how he was always great at business, I don't think that's it, people with moral bankruptcy can excel in certain situations. Me? I would be giving away free tows for everyone with a sob story or women would be giving me pussy for it, I wouldn't make a dime. This particular felon sounds pretty money obsessed and mercenary, sacricing friendships/marriages. You/Me cannot have it all, that's a lie, we just trade certain things off. I'm just a musician and martial artist, both of those business' have nothing but scumbags in control, for me, I just keep doing what I can to work and ignore all of them while being broke and having to do shitty jobs.

I knew another guy who had a car detailing business, he ripped off and burned every single bridge he had, including me. He cheated everyone he came in contact with and he recently died at 68. He was once a multi-millionaire and ended up with nothing, it doesn't always work out. The government do scum better than any of us and they busted his ass and left him broke. I was sad that he died because, well, no one is all bad and he changed my life, anything that got between us was so petty in the scheme of things that I just mourn how petty we all are more than anything else.
 
the scummiest jobs are anything that swindle people. car salesman, most commission work, gambling, alcohol industry. all filled with bad folks, generally-speaking.
