What is more dangerous NFL or UFC?

Smart guy quits football. I wonder why
Maybe so he can live to be a nice old healthy age with his family ?
Not worth the risk of CTE and substance dependence.

There's alot of factors here.

First off, if you get hurt playing football you signed a contract and will still get paid bank to sit on the bench.

In the UFC, you sign a contract but only get paid if you fight... so once you're injured you gotta get better before you can make more cheese.

Secondly, as others have mentioned, it depends on what position you play. The worst for brain damage is probably a running back, tight end, or receiver. But if you're good at it, you're gonna make sooooo much more money than you would in the ufc.

I would say they are probably pretty close, but would likely think fighters get it worse. Also depends on how smart you are with picking WHO you fight, and how often. The money is so much better in the NFL and you dont have the luxery to chosing to not do your job if you please.

Both suck ass as far as brain trauma is concerned. Thats why you make a shitload of money to do it (hopefully)

No, and apologies for assuming, but as a former wrestler, I stand by my weight cutting statement.

It sucks, I've done it and felt like shit, but I've never considered it cheating.

It's not cheating when everybody does it. But it is a bit of a cop out. Weight divisions were put there for a reason and people flout them by weight cuts.

Offensive linemen have to have a ton of wear and tear on their body from carrying all the weight they do to play that position.

You have guys like Joe Thomas and other that completely shed the playing weight when they retire but still, carrying all that can't be good for you.

It's a part of the game, and if done wrong can throw your game way off.

I think it should be banned for athletes under 18, but I have zero issues with consenting adults doing it.

I think Joey Gamache would disagree with you. Fights like this are the exact reason I think weight cutting should be banned.
The talk of rigged scales sounds like bullshit to me though, Gatti was known for massive cuts.

But this is hugely off topic, I'm happy to continue this in the DM's if you want to talk further about the subject. So as not to derail the topic

Nah they're all weak as piss, Aussie Rules doesn't need padding as well, we're all tough cunts down here
