True. Americans are not hated at all in Germany. We think most of Americans are really small minded and kind of ignorant (dumb) but nobody will hate you. Dont worry.

MMA has been banned by the bavarian media commission. Since almost every TV channel in Germany has a license and station in bavaria it is basically a nationwide TV ban.

Yeah thats a tv-ban. MMA itself is not banned. But let's be honest, even if mma would'nt be banned from television, there won't be much people watching it. DSF/Sport1 would destroy it with sex-commercials and Eurosport would have fucking Alex von der Groeben as a commentator. :icon_chee

I never said that MMA has been banned completely in germany. I talked about TV bans only.

On the other hand you're pretty much right about how Sport1 would fuck up with their MMA broadcasts as they always did via cheapest sex-commercials. I just think that media coverage via TV is still the most efficient way to get something into the mainstream in germany and thats why it hurts MMA's/UFC's developments there.

It will take years to go mainstream in germany, it's not done with a couple of shows and you are right about the media coverage. But as long as the fucking BILD writes articles like their last one, MMA will always be perceived negatively because every dickhead reads that shitty paper.

I am happy with MMA being an underground sport in germany though. Sure as hell don't need casual fans talking stupid shit about last events... it's already worse enough with football. Right now it feels like you are part of a small, hardcore fan group and I am fine with that.

MMA is actually growing decently well in Germany. Its probably (i'm guessing here) larger than it is in spain or italy. On par with France.

You can find some grappling schools in most major cities - even BJJ ones. I think Germany has 3-4 legit blackbelts now. Its there, give it some time.
 
The U.S looks stupider than it is is because we export so much culture or whatever you want to call it. You guys gobble the shit up, too. There are a lot of smart people in the U.S but the idiots seem to do a much better job at getting attention.

Go to Switzerland, it's like Germany 3.0
Salaries are 2-3 times as high as in Germany, taxes are 2-3 times lower, girls are hotter, landscapes are amazing, you can go snowboarding 5 months a year.

Switzerland is really small country, can't really compere the job markets. I work on the IT-field and in Germany it seems that there are crazy amount of jobs.

Im also so ugly myself that i dont want to set the woman standards too high. Not british low or anything, i think Germany would suit me.

Swiss Job Market is bigger than you think though, banks in particular pay their IT guys REALLY well...
