What is Harrison Ford's most iconic role?

LOL I remember getting an erection to this scene and not knowing what the hell was going on as a wee one.

The girl is called Emmanuelle Seigner and you can find her without a stich on if you care to. Beautiful French women, gotta love em!

For me,

- Indiana Jones
- Han Solo
- Rick Deckard
- Dr Richard Kimble

I'd say Han Solo, but when I think of Ford I always think of his little scene in Apocalypse Now first

When he was in American Graffiti maybe.....

I'd say Solo or Indiana Jones, they're kind of similar characters anyway, the charming rogue type character.

There's definitely a lot of overlap there which is why Spielberg was originally looking at someone else, he was worried Ford playing a role so similar to Han would be a problem even though he was the natural choice.

I think you could argue it was actually Return of the Jedi that suffered a bit from "Ford overload" though falling back onto the persona a bit too easily. Temple of Doom by comparison shifted things a bit making Indy a bit nastier/grubbier.

No, it was HUGE. It did about 20 Million in the US in the first week alone, and has done over 100 Million since in the US alone. Maybe it was a flop where you are, but not where I was. It got a couple of Oscar nominations that year, and quickly became a film classic, considered by many to be one of the great films of all time. Harrison Ford was the star as you know, and was perfectly cast in my opinion.

By the way, for those who don't already know, Rutger Hauer just died. RIP.

LOL no, Blade Runner barely broke even initially. As for those two Oscar noms...they were for Art Direction and Visual Effects...and again it won neither. No one liked Blade Runner when it came out...not even Harrison Ford.

I think many people are putting their 'favorite role' instead of his most iconic.

I find it hard to see other than Raiders as the most iconic. It was his true solo lead movie and pretty much defined the genre as it followed behind him.

Sure he has some big supporting roles prior but they were just that, supporting roles. You are not truly defined in Hollywood in the top tier until you prove you can be the top name on the marquee and carry a true blockbuster film. We have all these threads about 'best supporting actor to never truly transition to carrying a movie as the marquee' and they are full of great supporting actors, that was Harrison up until Raiders.

Uh, No. Bladerunner cost 28 milion, and only made 27 million, when you make less than you cost -- you're a flop.

Blade runner ranked #26 for 1982, Friday the 13th part III made more money that year. LOL

The #1 movie in 1982 made over 300 million, 12 times as much as bladerunner which cost nearly three times as much to make.

By far Indiana Jones. I think Harrison Ford is underrated as an actor. He's a master at facial expressions and getting the audience into a scene. I think he's brilliant.

He's an overrated carpenter.

The role of Pit Bull owner. Sure to cause a stir amongst Sherdog sissies.

That’s adjusted for inflation genius. It only made $32 million while costing $28 million to make.
How is a person raised, how does a person become so degenerate, when they have to resort to ridiculing others on social media. All you had to do was counter my post respectfully, yet you chose to LOL and use sarcasm to suggest that I'm stupid. I feel sorry for people like you, but even moreso I hate people like you, who do nothing but cause more pain and suffering in the world to others. You are a pathetic loser.

A simple LOL and a sarcastic “genius” comment really offended you enough to write this fantastical pussy ass post. Haha geez try leaving your parents basement every now and then. Also quit adamantly spreading bullshit.
