Well I saw an episode of Family Guy where Brian traveled back in time and prevented 9/11. It didn't end well. So I'd prolly just post a somewhat vague yet scary accurate prediction online on 9/10 and bankroll a career as a mystic after that.

This is a great question.

I really doubt you'd be able to convince people to not go to work at the trade center. They'd probably just think you were a loon. Maybe call in a bomb threat that morning to try to get the place evacuated.

I'm not sure how you'd keep the flights grounded either...one maybe - you could go to the airport and cause a ruckus to delay one of the flights from taking off, but that's not going to prevent all the events. Maybe bomb threats are the way to go here as well...

Of course all of this probably lands me in jail, but I guess that's worth it if I save a bunch of lives.

I would definitely try to get access to the trade towers and check for explosives though....

I think I'd call in an anonymous tip to the FBI and TSA. Even before 9.11 they took threats seriously. I remember a few of the terrorists names and airports of origin for the flights. Maybe that would buy me some credibility.
I'd use a prepaid phone though.

I've always wondered this myself and if I could do anything about it. I myself telling others would probably get me on the FBI/CIA watch list and possibly put in an insane asylum but if I were to call in anonymous tip then who knows.

I know a lot about what happened that day. The names of all the flights, almost all the terrorists names, and the proximity of time to which both towers were hit and fell down. Now whether or not they would take me seriously is another thing. I bet they would if I gave them enough information that it would seem credible. Also at the same time would they arrest me and put me in jail for having intimate knowledge of the whole thing? Also if they ended up foiling the 9/11 attacks would we end up going into Afghanistan and would the invasion of Iraq happen? Its things like this that intrigue me.
