One of my co-workers is a 50-something family man, he claims he predicted 9/11 a week before it happened while he was out having lunch with friends. One of his reasons for the prediction was, "There hadn't been a major airplane crash in quite some time."

When asked why he didn't inform the CIA or give an anonymous tip, his logic was that there are so many flights in the United States, how was he supposed to know which airplane was going to crash?

Like many people have already addressed, I'd be too young and have too little influence to do anything at all.

The only thing I could think of off the top of my head is to call in a bomb threat to all of the airports the terrorists took off from, so the planes never took off in the first place.

Unfortunately, who the hell knows right now off the top of their heads which airports those were, and the names of all the terrorists? I know Atta, and that's it, so even if I did know the airports and the times and the flight numbers, I couldn't prove who it was, and they'd just regroup and we'd have 9/24/01.

I mean, if you made the slightest indication you knew anything specific before it happened, you'd get your ass hauled off to the bay.

Seriously though, no. I know a few of the names of the big players, but not the idiots who died for 'their cause'. I would supply the names I do know and hope they could make it work. I also know where the flights originated, so those three flights could be monitored for 'profiling'. It wouldn't be hard to spot if you knew you were looking for a certain demographic with morbid intentions, they weren't actors, they were terrorists.

If one does happen to go back in time and try to stop the events that happened, it won't work. Things would happen the exact same way.
