It is gyno, he used PEDs most likely, but he passed all the tests so life moves on.

Now he is mentally dependent of these drugs and he will be watched more carefully by USADA good luck to him.

Medicine is not exact science, he might have used a higher dose, it might have been his first time, but what is clear is that medication to prevent gyno, which is an aromatase inhibitor, is very easy to catch and a lot of fighters have been caught because of this medications. (Anastrozole)

How? He passed his tests and he could say the gyno is from anything. They can't overturn your win because they find injection bumps on your belly when you passed your tests, or gyno, right?

To my understanding you passed your test and then if it's gyno you just have to come up with an excuse or plausible story, no?

Lots of shit can give you gyno. From cannabis and alcohol to normal (as in illness) hormonal issues. Granted, hormonal issues seem to happen during puberty and old age. The point: Proving gyno doesn't prove anything.

But even if the drug tester found it you can't suspend someone for gyno. It's not a PED. There are many medical reasons you could have gyno. It's no more condemning than Costa's physique. We might know both are on PEDs but you can't go suspending ppl for suspicious attributes. They have to fail a test, no?

I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you on some of that, but saying he is “mentally dependent” on the drugs now?

Where do you guys come up with this stuff? How is that even something that can be a quantified?

Well proving gyno does not prove PEDs, no. I think he'd have to fail a test to be punished or sanctioned. They can't say he looks suspicious or else a ton of guys are getting sanctions too, starting with Costa. Izzy's passed his tests and done his job. Good show.

Can´t be quantified, the psychological impact exists, imagine winning a fight on gear and having to fight the next one without it.

If you've fought your 100 previous fights without it? I'd think it would be a reasonable adjustment to make.

That’s not what I mean. I know a psychological impact with Peds exists in the world of sports ....What I’m saying is in your post you definitively state that he’s dependent on the Peds now. How do we even know that? This entire situation was brought up because of one fight. Now he’s mentally dependent? It’s statements like that that make people throw out terms like “bro science” and so on. There’s no way to quantify all of that after just one “alleged” incident of Peds.

No, in epidemiology it's is very rare <2% that develop gyno on one side with no symptoms of it on the other side when caused by steroids.

Sorry about your anecdote though. I'm sure the tons of guys with one bitchtit are upset.

That “if” is doing a lot of work there. All we know is something changed with the last fight and he grew a titty. That something could easily be his normal mix being thrown off - maybe the testing shifted, maybe he miscalculated - who knows. But you don’t grow a titty for no reason and It’s unlikely to be a one-time thing at this stage of his career. That would be a huge dice roll.
 
Why would it be a no contest if it was determined to be gyno? It looks to pretty clearly be gyno, but even if that is the case it doesn’t mean he took anything he wasn’t supposed to; the body is capable of chemical imbalance on its own.
 
Why is everyone here so dumb? It clearly is gyno, but that doesn't necessarily mean he took PEDs. The body can do weird things. You can get hormone imbalances because of diet and lifestyle factors
